Except Mauga loses his survivability while being stuck in front of Hog who has higher damage than Mauga.
Being close is not babysitting. It takes one cooldown to ruin HAHAAAA in it’s entirety and leave Mauga to die.
Mauga isn’t going to let him take fights away from him lol. Hog is the fattest, easiest and slowest target. Unless there is a Bastion, Mauga is never going after anything else but Hog.
And Hog has no escape and no way of mitigating Mauga inside of him.

I have played a lot of Mauga. I’ve never lost a single game against a Hog playing Mauga, even when being counterswapped by the rest of Hog’s team because the difference between the two tanks is so ludicrously big. There is absolutely no scenario where Hog beats Mauga without hard counterswaps from Hog’s entire team to carry him. You are straight up objectively incorrect and are delusional to think otherwise.
