Will every non Shield Tank be useless in new 5v5 Comp?

If the one Team has a Reinh or Orisa and the other a Monkey Diva or Roadhog.

Will the Shield Tank Team have an advantage?

What do you mean new 5v5 Comp? Are you talking about Overwatch 2 or something they did or will do in the current Overwatch?

Tank wonā€™t matter as much
Sniper will reign supreme and the team with better sniper will win

Expect underperforming heroes to be buffed.

Pretty much. I predict rein and orisa will be the most optimal picks. Sigma and Winston should be fine as well if you play them well. Off tanks other than sigma will be trash

Probably not because we will have months of beta to iron it out and that (along with snipers being too strong) is one of the first things that would be thought of to keep an eye on.

Every tank need a strong engagement tool, gap closing

Itā€™s hard to say because we have no idea what the current nonshield tanks will look like in OW2 yetā€¦

For all we know they might end up with a shield by the time it launches

Yes, and will be a pity since recenlty Iā€™m playin only hog.

But devs love to ruin their own game day by day.

Ball and D.Va seemed pretty cool from what I saw of the OW2 mod. 4s Matrix isnā€™t anything to sneeze at.

The devs said theyā€™re trying to move away from previous map design philosophy by providing more natural cover to maps and more flank routes that could be a way to nerf snipers. If theyā€™re still an issue then maybe a nerf to headshot multipliers or more meaningful fall off nerf could be done.

The problem still remains.
Sniper need the pick off potential and if they donā€™t have it, not worth picking them and if you play against them: Running from cover to cover is not very engaging, especially since the game is designed around much faster engagements.

I hope they can fix the problem, but Iā€™m honest here: I donā€™t have much trust

I wouldnā€™t waste my time debating it, at this rate OW2 will never release because Blizzard got shut down for being nothing but skeezeballs all the way down.

no this is just the forced mentality of ā€œwe need a shield tankā€ thats been enforced in your mind because of really bad players

OW2 is going to be 5v5 - with one tank.
But tanks are going to be reworked into ā€œbrawlersā€ā€¦
CanĀ“t imagin to have Ball as the only tank thoā€¦
