For game patches, they launch typically during the daytime when the development team (which resides in Irvine, California, USA) is able to monitor and implement the patch. Unfortunately this means certain areas of the world may be at a more inconvenient time.

well I’m guessing it’s 11am there and they could do this at lets say 8am and avoid this

Literally everyone scrims between 19:00 and 23:00 CET.
Most of them starting exactly at 20:00 CET (which is when the patch comes through)

Will people ever learn not to play comp games on a Tuesday night, knowing the event always starts between 7-9 p.m.

One advice, when the update is done, don’t play compo for the next two hours or you might get another disconnection. and lose SR (or even a ban).

In reality, its best to not stress over this, major patches happen sparingly.

not gonna play comp so not a prob, however getting in 9k que waiting to loading to get in then getting kicked and getting 20k is frustrating and my friend was in 20k then quits OW logs back in and get right back in the game… so tried quitting and got to 30k :stuck_out_tongue:
