Seriously, when has SMG EVER been better than a scoped shot? It’s barely useable at point blank, anything farther away and it’s shotgun spread x2. But even at point blank, the enemy’s head hitbox takes up practically the entire screen, so you might as well just go for the scoped shot anyways.
Widow’s SMG is useless, change my mind.

Toxic for no reason, nice. Imagine being plat while playing Orisa.
If a Genji tries to kill me and I do the usual bodyshot + venom mine, a low charge scoped shot + quick melee usually works to finish him off.
But if it’s supposed to be for cleaning up, why give it crazy spread? Just lower it’s damage but make it more consistent. I’ve used SMG before, and I still use it sometimes, but it feels like absolute crap to use.

It doesn’t need a buff, it needs a rework to not feel like trash. And I don’t care what other people on the forums think about Widow, most of them are like plat or lower and only play QP, they’ve never played against a Widow at the rank where she could be considered broken. She’s like Tracer, people complain about her being OP but she’s only good in the higher ranks. Tracer is a glass cannon, low Elo Tracers are super easy to kill, they’re just bad.
Well for us that dont have godlike aim/flick shot abilitys…its useful. I find it good for taking dva out of mech. As she flys to u hit her with scope shot…then close range just smg her out…as she hops out pop her with a scope again…thats best case senerio for us non t500 people. (Not rank shaming just pointing out that t500 usualy have crazy aim to the point that us normies would think u were aimboting if we didnt know better) its also good when u get that body shot but dont have time to scope again just do quick smg and they drop. Its not ment to be a long range smg its short range. That is my thoughs
That makes sense. I just find it frustrating that the SMG feels very inconsistent unless it’s point blank range, so if you can hit close range shots it’s almost more consistent to just go for it instead of using the SMG.

There is a difference between short range and point blank you dumb@ss. At short range, not all your shots will hit if you have spread, and because of Widow’s ridiculous spread, very few shots will hit and your damage will be very inconsistent. So at that point you might as well just go for another scoped shot. Reduce its damage and give it falloff, I don’t care, I just want it to be more consistent for finishers at close range. Even at point blank range you can just hit them with a scoped shot + melee if they’re low.

Most ppl with this profile icon are lucioball or something similar top 500 and has nothing to do with actual comp. So just ignore 
Yeah that’s basically what I was saying. She has the second highest pickrate and second highest winrate in GM. You should be able to climb pretty easily with her, wasn’t hard at all for me to get a positive winrate with her in plat, and I don’t even play Orisa + my tank is terrible.

Yeah, it’s from CTF. I peaked 4.2, I’m not top 500 material. If I got lucky when I was at my peak, I might have been able to touch it once, but not keep it. That’s why I use this icon, it’s the fake top 500 icon that you get from like lucioball, and it’s funny when people fall for it.
