Ive got a question.
People ingame ( ranked most of the times) say im a trash widow , but i looked at my stats and in 3h of playing ranked this last weekend.
I get 53% scoped accuracy and 32% scoped crit accuracy.
Isn’t that pretty good? But yet people always blame me for trowing there games.
Does someone have any tips to improve more or should I just find a new hero to play?

its could you just shooting at tanks or you not hitting with full charge shots. but im guessing you are proritizing squishies. body shot or head shot it doesnt matter just get the kill.
also widow is terrible at getting medals. im saying this for some arguement some people have where medals is their life support. “you are dps so you should have gold dmg/elims”. there are charcters in the dps role that cannot get dmg or elim medals. like how zen cant get healing medals even though he is a support

Bro just aim for the head
Yes i try to take atleast one healer out before the fight begins and then try to put pressure on as many targets as I can (Hogs , dps , …).
pressuring is like hanzo or junk’s job. widow isnt so good on that. you literaly just have to go for the kills which is why you shoot the squishies because they have less health than tanks and try to shoot one target at a time. if the target gets to cover pick another target.

Well you see, Snipin’s a good job, mate. It’s challengin’ work, outta doors. I guarantee you won’t go hungry, cause at the end of the day, long as there’s two people left on the planet, someone is gonna want someone dead.
Remember you’re not a “crazed gunman” You’re an assassin! Well the difference bein’ one is a job and the other’s a mental sickness.
Most importantly, never having feelings. You know who has a lot of feelings? Blokes that bludgeon their wife to death with a golf trophy.
That being said, professionals have standards
Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet

widow was always scapegoat, esp. at lower ranks, but you also can do 3x times more as Ashe tan widow, esp on 2cp maps.

stats dont matter much besides your death count and kill participation,
I mean as widow you to get important picks first i.e:
- enemy supports
- denying any potential ultimate combo (such as getting a headshot on ana right before genji dashes up for nano blade so ana cant nano)
- Headshotting tanks which your team is focussing on
- boosting your ego spawn camping enemy widow

shooting tanks can inflate your numbers while also not yield in positive results.
also it depends how many shots you actually take too.
if you only shoot 10 times and miss half, you’ve only contributed with 5 shots.
so it’s hard to figure out just from looking at pure numbers what’s going on.
just keep at it i suppose, try watching a replay of yourself and see what things you could do differently to increase your performance.
Problem with widow in lower ranks is that unless you get a 4k-6k your team will not capitalize on your picks. Do not expect ANY peeling, healing, or general team provided support. In fact expect your team to do things that actually hang you out to die. There’s a certain level spite toward your hero pick that you’ll pick up on. You’re going to have to learn how to play vs two teams essentially. Unless your avatar is in the kill feed 100% of the time you’re going to inevitably have someone feeding off your body shots claiming they’re doing all the work.
After 20+ hours you’ll see your Crit accuracy go down. Widow can carry in lower ranks but it requires the other team to not make any counter picks and pretty much trickle into you. The moment the enemy team counter picks you and starts to form a team plan your carry potential drops dramatically because your team will not put the resources into you to keep you carrying.
Expect to swap to reaper a lot. You’re going to have a lot of Winston’s show up to push you off widow. GL and enjoy the abuse
Oh and currently Ashe is a better sniper than widow even without the OHK’s. Her 2tap ttk is faster than widows. Coach gun makes grapple hook look stupid. TNT is a better ult builder than venom mine.
20+ scoped crit accuracy is good, are you focusing squishies more than tanks. If you get two early squishy picks most of the fights you are good.

I would say widow is amazing at pressure. You literally force people into cover just from existing lmao. She creates more space than tanks just by aiming down sight at people.
well my definition of pressure is constant damage. yours is different
