⚠ Widowmaker shooting through Brigitte shield bug

Recorded today. Can it be fixed please?!

UPD. At my normal speed, the shield was almost complete. From the point of view of the Widow, it was generally ready.

Bu the looks of it, it was either lag or the shield cast time hadn’t finished yet when she shot you

Have you had problems with brig shield and earth shatter as well? When I get shattered, I get my shield up in time, but I get shattered anyway

I blame latency for this. Either it’s latency spiked at that moment or shield animation lag is very noticable to where it needs a fix among many things in Brig’s kit (rally bug).

Yeah it’s a bug where even though it looks like your shield is up

nothing to do with lag since this is a replay and replays are basically server data being replayed

LOL she must have those new Military issue “black tip” rounds in her gun. That is the ONLY explanation :wink:

JK, yeah that is not normal. But maybe it is blizzard testing this out too. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

IMO, i think it would be really cool if they added this in for the game. It would require widow to discharge a FULL magazine and have a CD of at least 30 seconds to 1 minute. idk. Kinda a cool bug tbh.

It’s lag. You have your shield up on your screen, but on their screen you didn’t yet. When she shot you on her screen, you were exposed.

It wasn’t a full second. It was a second on your slowed down replay, but in reality it happened in like 0.2 seconds.

I recorded it because i saw and feel it in the game. I was like “WHAT?! MY SHIELD IS UP WTF?!” And then i checked replay.

Is it a bug or is it just a badly designed animation? Like old Deflect.

The code doesn’t line up with the animation and the disconnect causes this to occur

Too much time has passed since I raised the shield. I would not argue if this was at the moment when he was just starting to rise, and this was repeatedly. But THIS is just nonsense.

That doesn’t answer the question.

It is still possible for that to be a bug and it is also still possible for Blizzard to just have made the animation poorly so it doesn’t sync up with the activation of the ability.

This has never happened, and usually when the animation is completely finished, the shield already exists. He is even when he is not completely ready, if they shoot me from the side, they can get into him.

Looks like a latency problem to me.

Most likely due to latency.

Though I’d appreciate a full speed clip of this? Just to analyse a bit further, however from that it did look like the camera had finished zooming out when the shield was deploying.
