Widowmaker with all these supports that can TP and Fly to her and from danger is extremely problematic, she’s almost unkillable because of it, you dive widow good luck at killing her through 140hp/s heal and 200 health and all the peel in the world.
Goodluck killing Kiriko with Immo swift step wall climb and Mercy flying all over the map
Don’t forget shes on the otherside of the map, and you have to go completely out of position just to contest her on a dive tank on a map like Junkertown.

Decrease her range, decrease her health and balance this character theres no reason why a Sniper character should be harder to dive than Cassidy and Hanzo because she’s on the otherside of the map double pocketed.
Oneshot metas aren’t fun for Tanks whos teams flame them because they’re not killing / Stopping the widow
Its not fun for supports who can’t outheal the oneshots.
Its not fun for any DPS who isnt Widowmaker or Sojourn.

that scenario means its a coordinated team vs an uncoordinated one. maybe a premade vs solo queue opponents. another problem in general is matchmaking and people going against a widow way more skilled than their opponents.

The thing is its way easier to heal Widow and react to a dive than to actually preform a dive its alot harder to cordinate it.
Even in Masters and Low GM it just doesn’t happen, it doesn’t get cordinated, especially on the EU servers where I play.

It is exponentially easier for Kiriko and Mercy to see widow and heal her compared to getting your entire team to actually dive them.

well for your case the devs said they are looing at one shots. i bet widowmakers win rate/pick rate is really increasing. they usually look at stats first and i would be interested in really seeing how well shes performing in all ranks

I would assume shes preforming well in Plat+ or maybe Diamond+
Because as you go lower aim decreases but so does movement plat players move like bots compared to GM players.
So even though GM aim is better its harder to hit shots against GM players because their movement is alot better so I bet it will be bad in alot of ranks.
She doesn’t need 200hp.
Should be 175.

not only that you ever try and solo queue as widowmkaer. most of the time your supports dont even support you. guess it depends on your mmr. my last 4 games as widowmaker im trying to get to health packs most of the time even after asking for heals. hence the solo queue vs premade experience if you get matched that way

Diamond+ You’re going to get supported by your team extremely heavily.
Even without being together or comming all you have to do is the “I need healing” voiceline or the “I need help” voiceline and your team will come running to save you.

Sometimes you just need to follow the simple concept that you can read after almost every game which is called “diff”
Widow forces to widow duels, and she is only good at 2 maps : JunkerTown and SuckItRoyal. Let it be, and learn to play this hero by yourself already. There shouldn’t be like that, when you have answers for everything, and it doesn’t take the same amount of skill. And by the way, consistent damage wins you more games that one-shot kills. Widow does no damage, she either kills or she doesn’t. Learn from that.
You can quite easily her on alot of maps.
Dorado is a decent widow map
Route 66 is a decent widow map
Junkertown is an insanely good widow map
Circuit is one of the best widow maps.
Kingsrow is decent
The only maps I would say are really bad for widow are Lijang which is almost unplayable for widow and probably Oasis and to a degree Nepal
Busan depends on which map.
Should a character be able to force widow duels, why can’t I force tracer duels?
Its pretty oppressive for one character to be able to force you into picking the same character, and if they’re better at that specific character and only that specific character.
But you’re better at literally every other character you lose.
In Masters my rank she kills she kills and she kills.
