(I wanted to name topic just Widowmaker but it forces me to write something to it)
i still wonder if widowmaker will get anything new or a buff.
I still dislike her ult and hook. Still dislike how most of other heroes can counter her without problem.
Well what do YOU think would be good options for her. I believe a lot of people are playing her confidently still.

Let her hook onto walls and let her slide up and down , ult would give her dmg buff or let her shot trough shields or something , i dont now
With Widow you have to be carefull or you create a monster.
Her Ult is good, realy good can’t count how many kills it got me.
But yea there are a few things i would change.
I play her practically only in deathmatch and when you see the 100+ Hanzo
jumping around with a charged arow the slow movement and restrictions while in scope gets realy frustrating.
Her dmg output is ok but all of her kit is extreamly slow in the deployment.
You throw the mine but get killed while the animation is running and the mine
disapears. A faster deployment would be nice.
The same goes for her hook it could realy do with a little speed buff.
Then there is the mine itself, sometimes it just doesn’t detonate.
You throw it against a wall and the moment it lands an enemy walks past it and
it won’t detonate. Again the animation takes too long.
Or Genji and Tracer have a free pass just blinking or dashing past it.
I get it, close combat is Widows weakness but realy just 75dmg over 5 sec with the mine while Hanzo has scatter with max 450dmg or his new voley with max 470 dmg as scatter replacement? He even gets a new escape skill that is probably faster than the grapple hook… (yea i am kind salty that he gets all the love)
But enough ranting.
I would be happy if what she can do would all just be a bit faster

I still wonder why hanzo is getting so much escape options, he can climb now he can jump backwards or what ever they said, climb a wall with charged bow somehow.
Widow can only relay on hook or her spraying nerf gun and her E what will most likely wont do anything unless you get lucky.
Yeah the spread sucks it would be nice if it were a bit smaller.
In comparison to Hanzo, Widow sucks at close quarter combat.
Like i said before i know it is intented to offset the long range power she has
but it feels just a bit to harsh of a punishment.
If atleast the deploymentt of the grable hook would be faster (not the cd but the actual throwing the thing)
I believe widow is fine. Her only issue is that she’s ‘noob bait’. She’s really cool looking and everyone wants to be a ‘sniper’ because that’s exciting. But unfortunately if you’re not an exceptional player you will have a hard time being effective with widow. If you make widow any more powerful her pick rate will sky-rocket.

I one trick her in deathmatch and get my fair share of wins out of her.
It’s the close quarter combat where i find her too easy to take out.
And in my eyes it is 45% because the deployment of the tools she has is too
damn slow and 5% because the smg spread is ridiculous and the other 50% the other guy was just better than me XD.
But to be fair i only played her for 20h or so in normal games compared to the 228h in deathmatch so i can only realy talk about my deathmatch experience with her.
If Widowmaker gains something then she needs to lose her damage. Widow isn’t mean’t to be at the front lines spamming abilities. She’s designed to chill and snipe.
Widowmaker should be punished severely for getting caught up in a close up situation. You either need to hit a very hard shot or die. If the enemy got close (in every mode but DM) then it is your fault.
The game should not be balanced for arcade.

I personally think she is fine. In the right hands, she is a monster. In Jellies hands, well, let’s just say, I enjoy playing her😁
Don’t expect to see any buffs for widow just 'cause you can’t play her. She is the most OP hero in the game once mastered by the pros.
Your absolute right the game should not be balanced for arcade!
But it is the mode i have the most experience with her so i realy can only talk
from this standpoint.
I dont realy wont buffs to her (ok maybe the smg spread XD) i find it just frustrating when you get killed and the mine disappears because the animation didn’t finish.
Or you throw it against a wall right next to an Enemy and it wont
detonate because the animation for the landing and sticking to the wall isn’t finished and in the time it is the enemy is out of range.
Or if you duel an enemy and throw out the hook at the ground to get a bit distance for a shot but get killed while the hook just conected to the gound 3m before you and you know if she just raised her arm a bit faster you could have gotten away.
It’s just (i know i soundlike a broken record in a loop) the damn animations feel to long XD
