One shots that arent Ults don’t belong in the game. So know you wont get Widow sympathy, shes a horrible hero that is an Anchor around the teams neck in low Elo and almost forces a Widow vs widow in high elo.

even the mentality of widow players sucks… Widows don’t care about winning the game. They just want to pick up meaningless picks when fights are already decided

I’ve seen it before that’s why, I just know I’m smacking my head against a brick wall with this ‘‘community’’ The numbers don’t lie no matter how many long Reddit posts are linked, As for snipers being a problem, With a player base built up on AOE reliant spam picks I find the whole spin cherry picking at best.

Complaining about “the community” or “player base” doesnt address any of the valid and reasonable arguments as to why snipers are bad for the game.

Using others words and passing it off as knowledge is like stealing a cake and saying you baked it, You are like many on here just one of many widow haters who cannot stand being killed by her because each time she does you know it was simply because you got out skilled, and deep down no matter how many times you try and assume you won this debate the truth is I already did the moment you felt the need to argue Like I said the numbers don’t lie.

I take it that you think the Team Fortress 2 devs have no idea how to design characters like Widowmaker and Hanzo?

So let me get this straight because others are annoyed at being killed due to having no brain cells to spot a sniper and dive working as a team that is somehow the sniper’s fault, I’ve never said the 1 shot one kill thing was fair actually fine if that’s removed entirely but her dps has to be equal to that of a sol76 with more health, But I’m sure that would be an issue too right?

Basically. There’s not enough players like you to matter, if literally all of them quit.

If that happened, they’d probably gain players overall.

Also, you don’t seem to have any idea how snipers are designed with heavy limitations in pretty much every other modern FPS game.

I honestly don’t care.

If half the GM player quit, and half the OWL players quit, but they gained a solid 20% increase in players across all ELOs. That would be a very good thing, for players, and shareholders.

It also would help streamers, considering their bottomline is how much Twitch subs they are getting.

Widow players might genuinely be the biggest dent heads I’ve ever seen when they unironically expect you to be able to play an entire game behind cover, like there aren’t enemies you need to peek to kill, an obj you need to peek to contest, etc etc.

btw interesting fact 200 to 300 meters is the average sniper fall off IRL and that’s translated in most FPS with bullet drop, Most maps in Overwatch in terms of line of sight positions fit within this range therefore bullet drop would make no sense in terms of game logic.

What percentage of the playerbase do you figure:

  • Plays sniper because they want to, and not merely because it’s strong.

I’d give that a solid 2% of the playerbase. And only a fraction of that would quit over nerfs.

Especially if they did something like 200hp Widow, but her snipe shots are turned into DoT’s.

But then again, Math is probably about as difficult as Reading is for you.

Who gives a crap about “something that isn’t how snipers are designed in modern PVP videogames”.

The truth about Widowmaker is that the core of her enjoyment for her players is mostly on being able to oneshot people with impunity in a game where no one but a mirror pick can contest her.

They literally get off an overpowered broken hero, specially after OW removed barriers and a 2nd tank.

The long range characters in a shooter are anything but in tough times.
Sure, they hate dive. But they can even deal with that.
I still think Cass is the most annoying. But Hanzo still has logs. Widow is certainly one the picks of all time.

OW isn’t that. And it doesn’t need to be that.

I mean. I’m not trying to dispute whether widow is doing well or not. But this is extremely ironic since that is what Widow also requires of players. Peak your head out and get shot is true for Widow and can also be true for spam dps.
