Idk where to write it so I will start here.
I just played widowmaker recently. In one match I shoot enemy widowmaker with 100% charged rifle in a head and she survived with 1 hp. After she was healed I shoot her again in a head with 100% charged rifle and now she survived with 15 hp.
I watched everything on replay. And I did not understand what was going on. How did that happen. I thought that they reworked widows damage and now she doesnt just oneshot heroes, but next match I was oneshotted as Ashe (Ashe has 250hp and Widow has 200hp).
So now Im confused. Can somebody explain to me how is that possible?
How far was she? Because if it was from 63m it won’t one shot a 200hp target

Didnt know widows damage depends on range. I thought her sniper rifle dmg depends only on charge percentage. Could you please explain how distance works for widow, or give a link?
Thanks a lot

I don’t have a video on hand but her damage drops off by range, like every other hitscan.
Her falloff range is 50-70m
She does maximum damage up to 50m (300 headshot), and then gradually drops off all the way to 50% damage at 70m (150 damage). I don’t know the exact numbers but testing in the practice range, a fully charged shot kills 200hp heroes at 62m, 225hp heroes at 60m, 250hp heroes at 57m, 275hp heroes at 54m and 300hp heroes at 50m

Thank you for clearing that up
thats sadly long gone. Once upon a time Widow was a true sniper not limited by range.
