If Widow couldnt 1 shot heroes like any sniper in almost every game in history that has had a sniper character, she would be useless.
Why even pick her when you can choose better heroes than her if she couldnt 1 shot. She brings nothing to her team. She doesnt contest the point. The ONLY way she is useful if she can get consistent headshots. That is her only use.
People make it seem that is easy to do. And the people that say this are just salty players that got killed by her in their previous game before coming into the forums to cry about it.

I’m in a rank where people play what they are good at I’m sorry that I’m not good at widow and I don’t have a good widow team mate guess we should lose because they have a good widow

Without one shots she would probably be useless.
Its what snipers do.

then give her another weakness? you can’t say just dive 4HEAD when she is in the backline and have mobility

Overwatch is overwatch and it has 3 other snipers, depending on your definition of sniper. One heals and doesnt 1 shot, one fires arrows and 1 shots, and the final one doesnt one shot and has Bob.

Who cares about other games, we have robot space hamsters.

You guys probably lose because you dont know how to counter or play around a sniper and their angles. Every hero is allowed to get kills on you. Its just getting killed by Widow triggers people for some reason.
Some people have good mechanical skill and have practiced hundreds of hours on a hero. Should they be punished for this. According to forum whiners, yes.
You dont punish someone or try to cripple a hero because people have got good with them.

Widow is the only traditional sniper in the game. The others are hybrid snipers.
ALL traditional snipers in every shooting game in history, for decades, have had 1 shots.
Its not the sniper class’s fault that non FPS kids came into OW and they were not used to that. And they think that is OP and unacceptable.

widow has plenty of weaknesses

one being she is gets outclassed at mid and close ranges, she relies heavily on pocket and space, she does not have a ultimate that contributes much, shields in general

how well widowmaker is doing also depends on if you allow her to shoot you or not, positioning matters againts widow

Her grappling hook doesn’t give her that much in mobility to escape. Hell, most Widowmakers can’t use it that very well unless they are Top 500 or Pro.

that is the fault of your team or you’re just getting stomped in general

i rarely get sniped by widow simply because i never ignore her and i play againts top 500 widows every day

You can also use Orisa an actual suppress the enemy Widowmaker. Reinhardt isn’t the only option out there.
