Its instant loss on defense hero is a complete instant loss. I bet if blizzard posted stats of win % with widow on defense vs no widow it will be significant. Me being solo I will get that extra loss plus leavers where group wont encounter as often.

Yeah, its kind of amazing that they’ve not reworked her yet. A good widow is completely unfun to play against and a bad one is useless.
Give her more utility, more need to play with the team and nerf the 1 shot.
how about giving Widow a Mix of her current Infra and Mirrorwatch 
No heroes are going to be removed from competitive just because you don’t like them.
Ashe is literally everything Widow should’ve been and objectively the fairer hero, the only issue I can see is when she was released. If Widow and Ashe swapped release dates, she’d already be reworked, imo. At least they fixed Hanzo.
That all said, they reworked Horizon Leaver Colony I wanna say 3x, and couldn’t once do it properly (arguable for Starwatch, but moot since no Widow). Junkertown changes are nice, but not perfect.

Every tier list I watch shows Widow in A or B tier as a situational hero. For an average Widow player, life is misery. You play the hero, which is designed for people who play 8 hours a day on adderall and once you start to cause problems for the enemy team, you get countered by Sombra
Every week there is some OTP complaining that their counter is busted and asking to remove them from the game. Instead, how about you learn a counter hero, or play the hero to figure out their weaknesses and how to exploit them.
Become proficient at Winston, for example, and you will never have another Widow problem in any of your matches. But watch how fast that Widow switches to Bastion. Unless they’re a OTP forum troll.
Nothing todo with me not liking them. It make comp unfair to solo players. If you queue with friends less chance of widow since shes useless. Which gives me more losses. All this talk about good widow players is nonsense.
She simply can not contest I beat any widow player for sure dont care how good they are its just a crap hero.
She should get ult like mercy or wrecking ball, mei she needs to be able to contest or she is useless.

Im at a point where I rather face a good widow than an annoying sombra tracer comp. Im so sick of sombra and I’m sick of tracer having too much hp, damage and mobility.

I get it, you’ve had some bad competitive games with Widow on your team. I’ve had bad games with Widow on my team. I’ve played games as Widow and performed worse than I’d like (especially in the Mirrorwatch mode).
None of that is grounds for Blizzard to remove the hero from competitive or any other mode.

This is a simple game that is about ults. People feel they are doing a lot with widow but really not much since she cant contest and her ult is useless. Either people get res or they run back while widow cant contest. she has 0 impact from few maps where spawn is far from defenders. If used whole game she is just useless bliz is soo focused on $$ cbf making a actual competitive game. Id roll any widow regardless of skill
most dud hero in game at least give me option to avoid all matches with widow im happy to play vs her just get this useless hero out of game.

Now if you were talking about her pick rate, then yes, that’s low across pretty much every tier of competitive. Her pick rate average is 1.88%, although in Grandmaster she has a 3.44% pick rate. So she’s by no means a popular hero in Competitive, but when she is picked, she performs fairly well.
Take my advice and go back to CS:GO, because it’s clear you have no idea what you’re talking about when it comes to Overwatch.

everytime i do fairly well on widow or pop off and win then watch the replay i notice it mainly was a team diference lol…
of course i hit a whole bunch of shots and got kills but i notice my tank demolishing their team (last was a doomfist). the enemy goes sombra but it doesnt work. (usually inexperienced sombras).

i bet that whole game they blamed widow on their loss and not the whole enemy team 
yeah, your team can make a big difference on your own performance. Mainly with how good they support you (e.g. come to help you if you get attacked) or how good they get the attention of the enemy, so you can take your time to aim without pressure.
But what I noticed, the players currently are generally more aware of Widow and know how to kill her, even if she isnt a thread. I find my self almost every game getting hardfocused by atlest one enemy, if I play widow. If I didn’t have the battle pass, I don’t know if I wouldn’t already have uninstalled the game again.
Being focused all the time, even when I’m not performing at all (which currently is like always the case, as my aim has been absolute rubbish lately for whatever reason) and the matchmaking and the “All Roles” challenges with Tank don’t make that any better.
a classic
