Three games in a row lost to a Widow who’s very hard to contest without sombra. I know widow has been a problem in high elos for ages, but this is new to my gold games.
It’s a skill issue, and I need to get better at diving the widow as Tracer, but right now it’s not exactly fun.

Probably a smurf problem, not Widow.
3.5 Dodge the sleep and then shoot Widow and kill her.
Relatedly if somehow both Ana and Zen are standing on the Widow either she is close enough for others to kill or their entire team is very far back so they will hold W and suddenly not be that far.
I think any dive hero or Kiriko is great for contesting Widow. Other than another Widow, tanks or Genji are the best for it right now, but Sombra can still do it.
If her supports play with her, and they probably will, sombra really can’t. Though to be fair that was basically impossible before the changes anyway
Well these are the Overwatch forums and the effects of a balance patch are interesting across ranks. If some rank below you is busted, that can force the devs to make changes later on that affect you too.
Yeah, one of the widows did hit some insane 90 degree flicks when I tried to jump her as tracer. Def didn’t look like the average gold player to me.
Yeah, no. Widow is not dominating at gold rank.
If you have a widow that oppressive in gold I can guarantee they are a smurf.

Sombra was too good against Widow, that apparently everyone forgot how to deal with Widow without a hardcountercrutch like Sombra, its astonishing.

If it’s a actual gold widow and not smurf just dive bomb her with current soj throw the disruptor and melt her , sombra is good too but you need to be a bit more timing and rollout oriented.
Yeah, I think all the widows who quit playing are now coming back. At least 2x more widows in games now.
As said, it’s a skill issue. In gold I can’t rely on the tank countering, so need to just figure something out myself.
I honestly don’t believe that. I can count the number of cheaters I have encountered on one hand.

It’s more skin and season launch, in sg servers we don’t have widow custom hs lobbies active much but yesterday was up there all night did go down in the end i think it will drop in a week or two the skin is very good to use actually the grapple effect and shot sounds.
Ah, true. Forgot about that. That’ll explain the high numbers. Need to wait then for a while.
