Recently I decided to try giving comp another shot. I was playing with someone 6 divisions below me, for example Gold 3 and Silver 2. Okay, sure, that seems reasonable. Aaaaand 30 minutes and no matches are found. You could have just saved me half an hour and said that we couldn’t queue together.

Well maybe it is exposing that group play is not as popular as people think it is.
The most popular method people like to play this game is SOLO, probably followed closely by duos

There was a good reason for those restrictions to be there. Now that you got what you wanted, how do you feel?
Oh it is. Ppl just aren’t dumb enough to attempt it now knowing they will be matched with the same and can’t exploit it anymore.
Last season, and for 8 years prior, my group would have been perfectly valid in the normal queue. They cut the range you can group up in half for this feature that doesn’t even work. The reason it can’t find anyone isn’t because no one groups, it’s because it has to find two two-stacks, two three stacks all within a similar SR. It should be obvious why that was never going to work.

You wouldn’t have gotten (or lost) sr in a wide group anyway so…
