Because they are not the same and do not perform the same job - now stop comparing them.

thats not a competitive reason, thats why i said so on the post. dont troll please.

if they enemy doesnt have a great hero to copy then it’s not worth it. like if theyre tanks were hog and zar and the dps arent great either then it’d be better to play pharah esp for ult
echo also has to get a lot closer so if they enemy doesnt have great hitscan pharah is better too.
if you have a mercy pharah is better to boost too imo

I think people play heroes, that they enjoy playing. But that’s just logic.

Pretty true though

I like playing Pharah meaning that I have a lot of experience on her, in comparison to my experience with Echo. As such, my ability to perform will likely be higher on Pharah in most situations.

Better?

Echo’s primary is super bad while Pharah’s is super spammy, annoying, rewarding. Echo relies only on the stickies and beam to get kills done, and her mobility is a bit poor when you compare her to Tracer and Genji and even Pharah

ummm… but their job is suposed to kill enemies right? dont you think echo is better since she has much movility and her firerate is much faster? also she can kill tanks half life with beam

Primarily because Echo is not fun to play at all. Too bad Pharah is so weak.

??? Then Junkrat and Widow are the same too because their job is to kill people.

That’s such dumb logic.

No, Pharah and echo are not the same

Different dps have different jobs, their main goal is to kill someone but they each specialize at their own thing

Because echo is more flanky.

pharah rockets do more damage

yes that’s her job, pharah has a different job.

I love Echo, it’s probably my favorite character to play other than Sym. Most of the time, people don’t like Echo because they are terrible at moving in 3D, instead of the usually 2D with some jumping here and there.

  • Personal preference.
  • Pharah is easier for you to play than Echo, which is a super important distinction especially on Console
  • Pharah takes a Mercy pocket way better
  • You’re on a map where mid-combat movement CC is useful (eg Ilios Well)
  • You need a consistent, powerful DPS ult because your team isn’t running any and you don’t want to risk the enemy team not having one either.
  • Pharah flies much more consistently than Echo in cases where you really don’t want to touch the ground.

That being said I do think Echo is one of the best all-around heroes to climb with so I don’t know.

She is easier to play, but if you sink in more hours in Echo I guarantee you’d be climbing faster.

thats not dumb. widow job and junk is to make areas dangerous ( junkrat job was killing shields before all this shields mess)
tracer , genji and doomfist job is to disrupt get a kill, distract and go away.
phara and echo job is to have highground control and get kills.
if you say im wrong say what are the differences. calling people dumb does not give you the truth.

yes thats the sensation i have. As mercy player i survive much more with an echo, and is easier to secure kills. if enemy team has decent hitscans and your phara is not a godess then echo is better.

That’s not true at all, do you understand Echo at all? She’s literally a flanker, and performs the same job as Genji, Tracer and Doomfist.

If you play her only airborne then you’re playing her wrong.

You’re meant to be playing her mid to close quarters to optimally hit her combo and secure kills - that is quite literally the opposite of Pharah.

You have all this right,

echo can confirm kills and is also like tracer, genji, etc
pharah has-

these are extremely good points, that you should look at.

i dont play them, i play mercy. I played with echo and the sensation i have is that i win and survive more helping my echos instead helping my pharas.
