Im so outrageously tired of fighting against Juno’s every match. I understand that they designed her specifically for this, but its so beyond just damaging to the fun of the game when everyone is constantly playing in double speed.
Im obviously talking about her movement speed boost, which is the only one of its kind thats actually used DURING fights for duels and not just as the gap closer or short little engage boost of JQ shout or Lucio speed.
Blizzard has created ANOTHER character where the most defining part of their kit is so overwhelmingly beneficial that unless their stats blow omega chunks they are going to stay as perma picks.
There is almost no stat more helpful in teamfights than movement speed, and being the only hero whose MS booster is used mid-fight, she becomes a BIS support pick for just about every composition in the game.
We outright need to lower the max movement speed cap, because as it stands Im so unbelievably tired of being overwhelmingly stat checked by her movement speed, forcing mirrors, and enabling immobile tanks to completely negate their weakness by having a single ability take their movement speed beyond a Sprinting Soldier.
Like I get it, its fun, its her entire point, but theres no universe she gets to stay this way. She’ll never NOT be meta.
Juno basically reinforcing a hitscan meta because projectile heroes can’t interact with her
God it’s so boring to have a gigabusted tank flying at you with 50% movement speed increase for no effort
The cooldown is 14s, but the cd starts when the ability is used, not when it ends which is ridiculous. You have 6 seconds to constantly refresh the speed boost timer and you can use it multiple times. Then 8 seconds later it’s back up again and you have another speed ring
Making the cooldown start when the ability ends is more than necessary
I’m not sure if I would tinker with movement caps but I would probably adjust the way speed is applied. Because when she shoots her gun, the projectile in motion already boosts player’s speed between her and wherever it’ll land. I would change that to actually when touching the ring after it’s created. And the duration of the ring is probably a bit too long. That’s the first thing I would look at doing.
Wait till you have the realization that they are the ones which survived out of the hero shooters.
How much worse were the others?
The companies which actually followed the feedback the players were saying they wanted. They didn’t survive.
They built what people said they would play, not what they would play.
It’s like the full drop PvP MMOs which were all the rage. FFXIV is still around, but it’s rebuild didn’t try to build what the players said they wanted.
I said it before and I’ll keep saying it… still 50x more interactive and fun to play against than ana, kiri, or bap.
I could not care less about juno being good. Honestly. If they could find a way to make speed ring weaker but still keep Juno in the meta, I’m all for it. If they can’t? I can handle speed boosted enemies.

The speed boost is something you cannot negate, its not something you can really counter. Mei wall is made of paper, and the MS allows you to get around it easily anyways. Cree nade is useless. Shields are uselss.
Juno’s MS boost is in no way more interactive, not one. It is uncounterable. Most of the time the only way to actually combat getting repeatedly ran down, out rotated, or simply properly kited, is by having your own Juno.
You can maybe argue fun for SOME of those things, because Ill be the very first person to stay all immortalities need removed from the game, but outright they kind of just arent even as useful as movement speed, genuinely.
After the treatment Sombra recieved, which sparked a witch hunt for Widow to recieve the same treatment, i struggle very much to believe that any staff member cares… Activision is treating EVERY Blizzard IP like a short term cash grab before dumpstering the franchise…
Except her movement and speed boost isn’t what makes her meta. She is meta because she has the strongest ult in the game. For context, it’s basically old Orisa ult but also heals. Old Orisa ult was also the strongest ult in OW1.
I’m talking about the hero in general, not just one ability.

In terms of overall hero design, I will GLADLY take juno over 3 health bar bap with DPS damage, ana with the two of the most infuriating cooldowns to play against as a tank, and kiri with immortality #2 and 30 meter unengaging, free escape, through walls teleport.
Easily. Even with Juno as she is now, I don’t actively want to throw something when playing against her.
Two things can be true, and ults are allowed to have higher impacts. I promise you if you remove either one of these things the characters playrate drops by miles.
Overwatch 2 doesnt really allow ult bots to be meta. She 1 billion percent has her play rate for her overwhelmingly strong neutral game and team fight powers due to how the MS allows you to play almost without risk.
If she didnt have her movespeed, shed be dropped. Fast. Same is true vice versa.
Shes basically the queen of everything. Shes the best teamfighter, and has the strongest ult.
She shouldnt be allowed both, and frankly the ult is 1000% less problematic and much more counterable than her movement speed
You guys also forget. The other reason why Juno is meta… is because of brig. Brig makes juno untouchable. It’s just as much of a brig problem, as it is a juno problem. Juno without brig is contestable. You aren’t doing jack all to juno brig backline. It’s one of the most untouchable backlines to date.
I kinda think she should stay this way. She’s by far the most enjoyable support to play as or against. And while I could see some minor numbers tweaks because she is good, I can’t see any drastic changes because they kinda hit gold with her.
IMO nerfing the burst heal on her torpedos and increasing the speed ring cool down by 1 second is what they should do and all they should do.
By what metric have you determined shes the most enjoyable to play against? Im not the only person genuinely tired of being forced to play Overwatch in 2x speed, or just straight up be kneecapped if my team doesnt have a Juno.
Im genuinely tired of Juno. I dont mind her healing right now, I dont mind her damage, but speed ring is 100000000% overtuned by miles.

Again, movement speed is the singular best stat in the game. Being so much faster than the enemy opens so many doors for how you can play, and shuts just as many in the enemy teams face.
Its enforcing hitscans, and its enforcing burst. Everything else is quite hard to play into Juno. Ive literally made a post exactly about how Juno is no longer fun to play against.
Just about every other support has much more actual methods of counterplay outside of the obvious “just kill her duh”
Ana nade can be eaten or cleansed, bap lamp is destructible, nothing can be done about Juno speed ring aside from just hoping the enemy team doesnt know how to actually abuse it.
Because compare her to the other supports that would fill in her role:
Bap has cancer immortality ability, 3 health bars, and better damage than some DPS (which is now a laser beam thanks to his recent random buff they decided to hand out)
Ana has two of the most infuriating cooldowns to face against as a tank player.
Kiriko has immortality ability #2 (which also has like 3 other different effects it does in one usage) and is even WORSE to try and kill because she can just straight up yeet herself out of any situation up to 30 meters and through walls.
People will GLADLY take going against speed boosted targets if it means not dealing with any of those other heroes. Even if speed ring doesn’t technically have a physical counter to where you can just deny it’s value entirely, it’s still more fun to play against than anything else I’ve mentioned.
Like dawg trust me. I know how it feels to fight against juno. I play doom, my hero physically can’t touch Juno 90% of the time because she has a double jump with no cooldown to dodge every ability of mine. That is STILL more fun to play against than ana bap or kiriko.
