Well, let’s have a look at the devs notes. Hm. These seem to say that Tracer was overperforming on certain maps/modes, so they buffed her because of map voting coming in.

Reduce her health to 150
Blink cooldown to 2.5 seconds
Recall to 10 seconds
And revert all the projectile sizes since S9
And delete Freja, she’s perma-banned in every game
Tracer used to be 240 damage but her spread was much wider. Her current tight spread is too extreme with this damage.
To get you to ban her so you let Freja go unbanned and they can collect more data to tweak Freja for everyone.

I read it differently. It’s because you need to read the logic for Reaper’s changes to get the full context. And with the full context, you can read between the lines for a relatively obvious conclusion. They basically WANT her to be powerful so that she is a ban contender. I am not even joking. They are literally trying to reduce Freya’s banrate by introducing competition to that ban slot. That’s how far they will go for their cash cows.
It’s probably also why they decided to buff Widowmaker and then change Baroness from Sombra to Widowmaker. It’s all about the money…
They do not even do a great job of hiding it. Like, yes, herp a derp, a business wants to make money. It’s just outlandish and turns people off which, eventually, makes them less money. You will see. ThiccBuddha is always right. Eventually.

as much as i liked the series i really dont know the backstories too much. just played with them as a kid since soldiers
i never really cared for that hero (baronness) when i was younger since yea… very young. (would love her now) so i dont know her story but i looked up the wiki

This alone would just make her significantly stronger. If anything they should increase the cooldown.

oh i remember they had a live action movie back in the early 2000s, never saw it because i knew it would be silly heh. kinda stopped going to movie theatres after 2000 … except for the all the lord of the rings
That actually… makes sense? I could see them doing this. Especially because they have conspicuously buffed heroes right before/after releasing a hot new skin for them.
