At this point, I don’t care about the lazy Ana nerf, the lackluster Mauga changes, the underwhelming Hog changes…no. Why was the strongest DPS buffed? Wtf Blizz

My theory is that a developer was triggered when they were playing Sojourn and couldn’t find something to shoot at so their railgun decayed to zero and then a one HP Tracer appeared out of nowhere and killed them. If they just had 25% charge, they would have won that engagement.

My guess is because she is only good at the very top. I dont think its too big of a buff, but I would call it unnecessary.

no idea but it makes a lil sense if you play her. a 0-25 energy rail gun does like 30 damage, still not an excuse to buff the best dps in the game

You wanna know why? because overwatch 2’s balance team sucks at their job. they’ve proven they suck at their job each patch to come out.
the overwatch 2 balance team, has literally zero clue as to how the game functions, what is strong, and what is weak.
They buffed ORISA, before any of the skill tanks.
They buffed arguably the strongest DPS in the game. And the patch before (IIRC) the 2nd best dps in the game soldier, got a slap on the wrist that didn’t at all move his position in the meta even though he’s been there for like 3 seasons now.
They suck at their jobs. They aren’t good. They get payed to literally not play their own game and then just spin a wheel at the office to come up with balance changes.

That’s because a full charge railgun head-shot does 195 damage. If they simply removed railgun’s ability to head-shot, they could buff Sojourn in other ways to make sure she’s viable in lower ranks.

Because Mauga got nerfed. He won’t be played as much, and she won’t have an easy target to constantly keep her charge up. 
Think deeper than the damage of a 25% Rail. It not decaying means you can get it again that much faster if you didn’t get to use the fully charged one before.
If you shoot you lose it all. You only keep 25% if it decays from not shooting. So yea, it helps, but its not a big buff.

I don’t know. She’s been strong. I don’t know why Ilari got very little buffs. She’s still going to suck.
I know. But I play quite a bit of Sojourn. It’s not exactly rare to have nothing to Rail, so the charge decays. Now, it won’t fully do that and you’ll get it way faster.
Oh I agree, it will help, and multiple times per game she will keep the 25%. It is a buff, I just dont think its big. It is still unnecessary tho.
getting to 100% charge much faster is a pretty big buff imo

Man I don’t know what kind of drugs the Overwatch staff are on but it has to be some good stuff. Buffing one of the strongest dps in the game is crazy.

Its a QOL change at best. Just had a 3 hour gaming session and barely noticed that its a thing.
It still makes 0 sense. Sojourn is BY FAR the best DPS right now, its not even questionable, all relevant high-level data points to this. And she… gets buffed. Lmao.
Yon don’t buff → not even QOL buff → a hero thats at the absolute top of the food chain.
