Why vote when the system still chooses the map?

The voting changes the odds. Let’s say 10 people vote for map A, 2 people vote for map B, and nobody votes for map C.

In this scenario, map C won’t happen. Map A has 5:1 odds of being chosen over map B. So map A is 5x more likely but not a guarantee.

This ensures that there’s no tyranny of the majority for people who like less popular maps.
