yes i really really like to play as Torbjorn, infact i really am good with Torbjorn with overall 24+ hours as Torb and 66%+ chance to win as Torb’.
…but hardly get any chance to play as Torbjern because when i pick Torb’ the whole team goes; “can you switch even tough you have 2/3 chance of winning as Torbjorn?” and i end up switching hero so people dont tlit and get 0 second play as Torb the whole season.
So heres what really needs to be changed for Torbjorn to be meta worthy:
Rivet Gun Primary Fire projectile speed.
its slow, yup EXTREMLY slow, so slow that a skillful player can dodge every-single-bullet-no-matter-what that i could almost hear ‘DEJA-VU’.
50% increased projectile speed would help.

Rivet Gun Secondary Fire
This button is useless, yup, needs some kind of rework, only 150 damage within 7meter with 0.8 sec firerate that it takes 1.6 second to kill a 200hp target and by that time Torb doesn’t stand a chance with his tiny 200hp in 7meters range, you’re better off with Primary fire 0.6sec firerate with a headshot 1.2second or 1.8second with no headshot.
“but it can one shot Tracer” you say jimmy? no good tracer will snuggle close to Torbjorn to oneshot her and her hitbox is tiny + blinks around Torb and if ‘1’ pallet misses; RECALL and you be lucky to survive until next 0.8sec firerate as Torbjorn.
My suggestion? 1time use 5sec CD area-effect bomb with 150damage maybe? 80damage heat seeker missle maybe? area-effect stun perhaps? basically something that can get flankers off my tail and get me gtfo of danger.
Other abilities are fine, just small nitpicky with DVA shooting far range while im hammering turret but not upgrading because of ‘1’ damage.
I would really like to see variety of heroes accepted to be played in high meta rather than being falsely accused of throwing.
Torb is meta for me. I’m currently in the Lindholm meta so if Brigitte is picked, I’m going Torb. He’s the next best thing cause he’s still a Lindholm.
What you say is true fellow torb main, but I find it to be more easy than you think. Countless times I’ve killed a tracer that wasn’t paying attention to me in a team fight. I ohk’d a tracer multiple times in one game before. One time a tracer was taking the Outer flank on numbani’s cap point to get my turret. As she began walking up the stairs I jumped right off the highground on top of her and shot her clean in the head. It was definitely a very good feeling.
But if you get rid of torb’s secondary, dive tanks will walk all over him. If there is a Winston going for my turret, I tend to finish him with two to three shots from secondary. D.va’s a bit more difficult, so I use my primary to avoid wasting ammo until I see a good shot to the head.
Torb’s right click seems fine to me. His left-click isn’t useful at all the way it is today.
Honestly though, his turret (and specifically the process to get it to level 2) is his biggest issue. Level 1 turret is pointless, aside from telling everyone to kill it before it becomes useful.
Torb should be able to pick up a built turret and put it down elsewhere, or else build level 2 directly. I think that along with a LMB fix and an improvement to his crit box would fix him.
I don’t want torb in the meta because he has the tilt power that can level skyscrapers. He needs small buffs in my opinion, like make his crit box smaller.
Torb players always have high win rates because they swap if it doesn’t work. Then they swap to a hero that works and they get a high with torb. Same can be said about sym

Reaper’s Hellfire Shotguns does 7damage X 20 pallets(140damage per 0.5second) within 11meters 2 SHOTS PER 1SECOND (280damage per 1second)
and if you are to scale it to Torbjorn’s 150damage per 0.8second Secondary Fire
reaper would do 224 damage per 0.8second which is over 49% damange than torbjorn’s. and if you are to argue “but Reaper shoots 0.5per shot” its even worse with Torbjorn doing only 300damage within 1.6second while reaper will do 420damage per 1.5second.
I play alot of torb and here’s what I suggest. I think torbjorn should be able to do fire damage. His character fits for a fire damage hero. He gun literally shoots molten rivets at people.
I think his Gun should have it’s base damage reduced for both his alt and primary reduced by 10. And instead be given a 3 second dot (fire damage) of 10 per second. Since his projectile speed is one of the slowest, it makes up for the missed shots in between. You could also up it a little like you did with hanzo. Still allow for headshot damage though, but just add the dot on top. The dot can’t stack.
His ult should have a fire aura during it’s duration of also 10 per second and his lvl 3 turret should shoot fire balls instead for more dot damage or keep it the same. Since there’s so many healing auras anyways we need a damage aura to help counter it. It kind of fits thematically too with his daughter in protection and him into damage.
Oh also, Im against him having more turrets, because with the symmetra rework and how easily she can put it out there, everyone would be focused on shooting all the turrets. I think him have one is fine. I think he should just be able to toss it a certain distance like he tosses his armor pack and it should auto build the where it lands. There could be two types. One that looks like a lvl 1 turret but generates armor packs around it every few seconds and the lvl 2 looking turret does more damage but doesn’t generate armor. Both turrets upgrade to the lvl 3 fire turret during his ult.
