I very rarely, if ever, get outhealed as Moira. Yet i see constant hate for her. Calling her the worst healer. In my low tier, DPS wont peel for thier healers. Her escape is the only thing keeping me alive. Is it that hero viability and meta might be tier dependent?

The reason Moira gets a lot a crap in my experience is because either Moira’s go full DPS or the fact that her kit isn’t bad, but it’s just not as good as Ana’s. The other reason people hate Moira is because they find the ball annoying.

One of the main complaints i hear is that her kit has nothing to offer, that she can only heal. No utility. But she heals for ALOT. But no one compares to Ana’s utility. Not even close.

I love me some Moria. She has the best healing output in the game, she isn’t useless in most 1v1 situations, and she counters Genji. What’s not to like?

I dont like moira because her kit forced her to dps and bad moiras will only do damage. Her ult i feels is bad easy to counter not very powerfull idk i dont like it. She is just a healer bot i feel and not like a “support”

I love healing with Moira. There is nothing better than a hero that can not only heal but dps and outlive better than other heroes.

Interesting fact both Moira and Ana are the two best healers in the game. Moira can heal a ton with her aoe, yellow heal and orb.

She’s not the worst healer. She’s the worst support. Healing more doesn’t win games. The lack of utility is a serious downside to playing the hero.

I dont like to see her in my team too. Especialy in defense with ana or mercy. Why? Because she is bad healer for heroes with good mobility and her ult is very weak to protect from ults enemy team will use.

“Fighting for ult charge” Thats a really good point that i havent thought about. I wish your profile wasnt private so i could know what tier your mentality about Moira comes from. Ive noticed the best cohealer for me is a damge boost heavy Mercy, picking up healing if i run out. After this realization i see that I really need to get a higher FPS monitor and get good with Baptiste.

Nobody likes being harassed to switch. Hammond doesn’t need to be babysat by a healer.

Or you know, the Moira was throwing out too many dmg orbs they they should have thrown a healing orb.
the term “DPS Moiras” didn’t just come out of nowhere. Its a term of a reason. Not ssying all Moira players are like that, but it is a problem.

Moria damage ball only does 200 damage every 10 seconds max, if your dps can’t out do that their actually garbage.

She can put out a lot of healing, but the problem is that she doesn’t bring anywhere near as much utility as any other support, even Mercy.

Moira is meant to be played as a healer…too many people think she’s a hybrid class…she’s not her main focus is healing, if you’re throwing out damage orbs when the entire team is grouped up and dying then don’t play Moira. You’re the reason why people hate her

Most ppl hate Moira as she might have the lowest skill floor/ normal skill ceiling or high one. Most ppl use her bad. About GM, a Moira can’t keep it up. You will run out of resources and you can’t farm it by doing dps. Any dps in M or GM will shut you down in a blink. Unless you have fade and a shield on front line. 2700 she requieres a lot of skill, but still she can out healing the incoming dps.
And I do understand your point Hammond and her will never get along same as Wiston. And lastly, she is en emergency healer and dps. You understand that and your team and maybe you will be stop at 3400SR. She can hold a fight for 10s, but what is her team up to during that time?
