Why the kiriko skin likely isn't mythic (Debunked)

edit: see the 4th reply for the debunking

The image of the kiriko skin is in the exact format of a shop card for the Premium battlepass. In the past 2 seasons there have been two of these cards in the seasonal section of the shop, one for a normal battlepass and one for a level-boosted battlepass. You can tell this isn’t the level boosted card because that has “+20” on it and is much wider.

Notably, in the past 2 seasons, the normal card has featured a Legendary skin (Posiedon Rammatra, Hinotori Kiriko) and the boosted card featured the Mythic skin. If this pattern continues, then the Kiriko skin isn’t mythic

Now of course this pattern has only happened for two seasons and I think this skin is on the upper end of quality for a legendary, so there’s definitely still a chance this is mythic.

Yeah, it still 50:50 if it is mythic or legendary, it looks mythic tho but i’m still hoping that it is legendary since i want other support get their mythic first.

It doesn’t really look mythic to me tbh. It looks like a variant of Mercy’s legendary from season 1. But I guess we’ll see.

The image is for the Battle.net shop, not the in-game one. So it’s like this one showing off the JQ mythic and the new hero.

Season 3 doesn’t have a new hero of course, so the image just has the Kiriko skin on its own.

Yep, I forgot you can buy stuff straight from the bnet shop like that and the aspect ratio is a perfect match here unlike the ingame card. Seems like you cracked the case
