Why the hate for qp leavers!?

This I truly don’t understand. If someone doesn’t want to play you and they leave, I don’t see the issue.

QP games are meaningless outside the little bit of exp you get, so why try to force people to stay?

Personally, I’ll leave a QP game in a heart beat for any reason I see fit.

First team fight and no one gets a kill? Peace out :v:

All dps team against actual tanks and healers?
Duces!

If we’re losing badly and I’m the only one switching chars?
Bye!

Just like no one can force you to change heros, you can’t force people play garage matches in qp.

Tired of leavers?
Go play competitive!

Because it is casual play, if you are willing to give up a game just like that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be punished.

The thing is, you ruin the game for your teammates by leaving. I think the current punishments are fine, I don’t need something drastic like some people propose, but people have a reason to be mad.

Because it is how the majority of the game plays the game and you leaving still causes a disadvantage.

Crap like this is why all leave penalties should be more serious, or you should at least not be able to queue until the game you left ends.

And don’t recommend comp. Comp is a toxic, cancerous cesspoll

I think it’s the opposite. Whenever a person leaves, most of the time their replaced with a better player. It’s just a matter of if that player has enough time to make an impact.

He says, immediately disproving himself by stating the problem with getting a new player

But sometimes the backfill doesn’t come for a while, and so you being to lose, so when the backfill does come they leave because it’s already a lost match and so on. I’m not saying it makes you a horrible sinner and that you should be banned if you leave in maybe one in twenty games, or even one in ten. I don’t do it, but I can see the appeal. But leaving after just the first team fight is ridiculous.

And sometimes you play with a person that’s drunk or a person who doesn’t feel like playing the objective or someone that feel like be passive towards the enemy team.

Sometimes a lot bad things can happen and the quality of your match is so low, you felt like it was a complete waste of time.

Of all the things we are able to control in this game, weather I want to stick out a match that looks to be 70% chance of being bad, I’ll take my chances by moving on to the next match

You say it screws over my teammates, but they made their own choice when they decided the amount of effort/ consideration they put into the match.

I dont blame my teammates for all my bad matches, but I can see the red flags from the spawn room.

And you can leave at the choose your hero screen without penalty, do it then. Use the avoid system on that drunk teammate. Systems exist, leaving mid match is just jerkish

Yeah you can leave at hero select, but I don’t leave strictly off team comp. Funky team comps can still win games.

It’s weather or not my team chooses to adapt to the enemy team if that comp doesn’t work.

133 hours on qp with Torb and 90 hours with Hanzo. No wonder you leave.

I guess we can’t all be an edgey reaper.

I will say that I have huge respect for those staying until the match ends in QP and Arcade. Yesterday I had a No Limits match and we were dominating the other team. Five of the enemy team players left leaving one sole survivor waiting for backfill. I just told him/her we had a lot of respect for staying; my team mates agreed and the person that stayed gave thanks. Win or lose, sometimes it’s the principle to finish what you’ve started.

I never said that I leave quick play, and you also can’t tell how often I switch when you look at my profile. And those stats are old. For whatever reason, the quick play part won’t update - Orisa is my most played hero there now.

not being mean or anything but that kinda of attiude is what makes people have private profiles dont judge based on what/how they play xD

You know what, I agree. That is pretty noble.

But I value my time more the the opinion of my opponents.

Leaving a game could ruin a game from the start for the rest of the players. You should be punished for leaving a game that is team based because losing a teammate can be detrimental.

There are not many times I face a teammate that is drunk, passive towards the enemy, or even not playing objective. No one should have to face a loss because you left the game and to get no punishment would ruin casual games. If you removed any punishment towards leavers people could do it to grief.

Umm so you think I actually spent 150 hours on one hero straight?

Do you only play one hero at a time and then never them again, or do you mix it up?

Never mind it doesn’t matter what your answer is. I’ll just tell you your wrong in your assumptions.

Why it is so hard for people to understand, QP is not practise- or warm up-mode (Yes, you CAN practise new heroes there, without it effecting on your SR and thats completely fine).
For quite huge amount of casual players, QP is the main game mode and your leaving will put the team in disadvantage. And even if Im not too stressed about if I win or lose in QP, it really gets on nerves, if we lose because of some leaver or thrower. :unamused:

If we were on the same team and I leave your game, our team was already at a disadvantage.
