We aren’t all the entitled Genji main that think healers should pocket us the entire time.
I love my Tanks and Healers, just wish the love was mutual
(Seriously though we all play a major role in the game no matter who we play let’s stop bashing roles guys, love you all

We don’t hate all DPS mains. Just Stuck-Ups/Self-Entitled/General-Jerk, we would hate them if they played supports or tanks too!

This. This is just so correct.

DPS mains make up the biggest sector of the player base. Of course that means they’ll also cause the most problems. The good to bad ratios are probably about the same throughout the type mains, but DPS being so numerous is targeted more often.

Indeed, toxicity knows no role based boundaries

Pretty much, it’s just that these types of players rarely play Tanks/Supports

well i dont hate dps mains.
its just that so many dps mains cry for support nerfs when they are low skilled with their hero.
a lot of dps players never play tank or support so they dont know the struggles. asking for tank and supp everytime tho.
if you instalock dps… then you got to deliver.
my friend is dps main… well since 2 seasons his most played heroes are tanks since he isnt selfish and instalocks when there are already 3 dps.

I definitely don’t hate all DPS mains, but I will admit getting frequently irritated at being on teams where 4 people instalock random DPS with no synergy and leave the other 2 of us to figure out how to try to make a viable team out of it. And 9 times out of 10 at least 1-2 of those DPS aren’t pulling their weight.
Especially bad is when the other flex decides they’re fed up with it and now we have either no tank or no healer, and nobody will even consider swapping when asked (even if their performance as DPS is atrocious) until 1:00 left in the final round when it’s already far, far too late.

Because the forums are full of immature children that have to blame a certain part of the community for everything

In comp I tend to instalock DPS then if say, 3 of my teammates do the same, I’ll switch to a tank or healer, I’m flex but only when necessary, if that makes any sense. My best role is DPS, but I can still Tank and Heal, just not as efficiently as those who main those roles.
I get that frustration though, so to my fellow DPS mains: if there are 3 of you, one of you please switch for the sake of team comp

Yes it does. o_o
Support mains rarely complain about the tanks because the tanks rarely abandon their teammates or objectives. Tanks rarely complain about the support mains because they don’t generally play favorites.
Tanks and supports hate being left vulnerable with no means of dealing damage. Toxicity definitely knows roles.
That aside, though, DPS mains are generalized by people on the forum because of the queue. There are sensible or helpful DPS players, but they’re much harder to find.

I love dps mains, I never understood why they got blamed for everything, such as nerfs.

Everything on the planet is hated by someone. It’s impossible to find something that everyone in the world won’t hate.
I never really group dps mains together really, if the person is nice, he’s nice, if he’s not, like the one made the patronizing thread about how to play healer while admitting he do not play healer, well…
people like having a bad guy to blame for stuff. As a support player I thank you for taking one for the team.
It’s not that DPS mains are just naturally hated, it’s that there are many, MANY more DPS mains than any of the other roles, making games of terrible role selection all too common. (I had 2 games straight where I had to solo heal for a 5dps team.)
I have no quarrel with people who main, I just think everyone should have at least one character in each category they’re willing to switch to, because when you get in that position where nobody wants to change, you’re just hurting yourself.

I don’t like DPS players that blame me for not healing them when they are literally in the enemy zone, ofc I won’t GA to them and heal them, and don’t expect a ressurect. Also most of the DPS players don’t care about the team and just rush to the enemy zone thinking they can 1v6 and if not it’s our fault for not following them. They only care about killing.
Then there are those DPS players who are actually the opposite and help the team etc. That I like

I’m a support main, a Lucio one (that heals and doesn’t play DPS Lucio). So… I don’t know.
I think it’s because of that sometimes toxic people play DPS so they can get Play of The Game, Gold Medals, or something else honorable. Most eliminations… Most damage… Multi-kills… it can go on and on…
So, don’t always hate DPS mains… They could be some weird Lucio main that heals but Lucio is already taken so they’re going their other main.
I have no idea. Toxicity got something to do with it.
“Mercy is a no skill hero”
“Lucio is a no skill hero”
“Ana is a no skill hero”
“Zenyatta is a no skill hero”
“NERF MOIRA ALREADY
”
They’re the only class mains who have consistently called every single hero I’ve ever played a no skill hero. Literally every single one. Even Symmetra at one point or another, whom I don’t count amongst my mains anymore.
Apparently supports only have to press one button, and if they do anything more than that they’re no skill and unfair.
Gee, when I decide to play Brigitte I wonder what they’ll say about her.
