On Nintendo Switch they ported all tht stuff from other versions. I mean all those skins, spreys, icons. Pink Mercy, All-Stars League skins, competitive last sesons spreys, last mini-event revards etc. All that you can’t get now. No one on that sistem can’t get. It’s kinda lame.
What can you expect from a game that doesn’t have the game but instead a code inside.
That was Blizzard’s choice, not Nintendo’s.
I know that. I don’t say it was Nintendo. It’s clearly a Blizzards lame.
I didn’t see Pink Mercy, older Blizzcon Skins, Lego Bastion. Who’s to say they can’t be added later on. DH Sombra was a 2018 con skin. Now it’s the last one to get for the Halloween event.
If you turn on Legacy filters, you can view items which are no longer available regardless of platform.
Why should they have all that stuff? PC was first, it has the first stuff. PS4 / Xbox was second, they have the middle of the game stuff. Overwatch on Switch is new, they have the new stuff, etc.
Switch having only the new stuff is great, why should people who NEVER was around for even the PC version stuff, just get EVERYTHING for free, that doesn’t make sense.
Like a random 11 year old pick up Nintendo Switch + Overwatch, wow… Now he has EVERYTHING some veteran open beta PC player has, cool!.. No.
Wait what? That’s not true at all.
Overwatch was launched on all major consoles (PC, PS4, Xbox) on the same date. All variants of the game (minus Switch) were released and updated simultaneously since then.
PC, PS4, and Xbox all got the skins in their respective event windows at the exact same time.

All that being said, I find it strange that the game would launch with legacy items being viewable. If I had to take a guess, I’d imagine that somewhere down the line it’ll be possible to unlock these skins on the Switch as it’s kind of a standalone variant of the game.
I mean, it’s an online liveservice game. The cartridge would have been outdated and useless at the first patch.
Unlike Sombra DH, other con skins weren’t promised to be available later.
Well, whatever. Point stands. Switch shouldn’t have something instantly that PC/PS4/Xbox have earned from being veterans of the series. I’d be upset as a PC player from open beta that Switch has something even as simple as a Season 1 Profile Picture even though never being in that era.
They have those things “available to buy” or all unlocked with the game?
Pretty sure those skins unlocked through purchasing blizcon tickets or participating in some event (like OWL) become available on the switch as long as you tie/pair the accounts much like it works with the other consoles. The only ones I’m not sure about are like the pink mercy skin for charity.
Edit: to clarify if you have a blizcon skin unlocked on your pc account because you bought a ticket if you paired your switch account with your blizzard account the skin becomes available to you on the switch.
Don’t they do this because of account links?
Cuz it is easier to run 1 game version for all.
The switch version will never catch on with the rest otherwise.
I didn’t say they should add this to Switch users for free. I think exact oposite. They should complitly remove this stuff. Comon, there’s no cross play or cross save. Why all this stuff exist on Switch. No one can use it.
Sorry, I was responding to TWCX, and hit the wrong reply button. He was complaining that no physical cartridge is being sold for the game.
It could have held certain major files to reduce space used on the Switch’s SD card.
Those major files could also need to be altered in a Patch. There is nothing in this game which is definitely never going to change. Even some skins were changed Hanzos Casual for example. Maps have also been changed. Not only for Events but also Horizon has been reworked.
Normally I’d feel the same way. I usually defend the exclusivity of some items and loot in the game. But it’s usually on the basis of “you snooze you lose”, the game has been around for almost 4 years across PC, PS4, and Xbox. I love my exclusive skins and loot, and would defend their exclusivity 10 times over if I get the chance.
However for Switch owners they don’t even get, or have gotten a chance to snooze yet. To even suggest that Switch users had the same opportunities to participate in Season 1 or the like on their console of choice is kind of arrogant and ignorant. There’s some pretty lackluster logic going on there. There’s literally no way of unlocking any of that content for the Switch prior or even now to the version being released. It either should be available to the players or taken out.
