Why so little Costumes?

Is there One person working on character costumes at Blizzard? With the popularity of Overwatch you’d think there would be a Ton more Costumes for the characters during events, especially around Halloween since you guys own Diablo. 5 or 6 new costumes out of 31 characters is a real shame. What drives me crazy is how whenever Blizzard adds a new character to the game like Sigma they dont get a costume at all for the nearest holiday event. At least half the characters should have had new costumes IMO.

They’re putting out less skins to focus more on balance changes apparently.

Yeah, don’t ask.

??? There are 8 skins not counting DH Sombra.

Thats a shame, You’d think there would be a new skin every week. I guess their Team is smaller than I thought.

Sounds like someone spoiled by fortnite.

OW skins are crazy high quality both in terms of art quality and model quality, especially compared to the gaudy meme garbage Fortnite hammers out, and their team isn’t even that big (around 100 last time Jeff told us).

I think i would be cool to have one of those minievents once a month or so, or at least in months without an event going on, but a new skin once a week is insanity.

We were only expecting 4 and we got 5 plus Demon Hunter on top of actually good epic skins. And trust me, I trash those like every event. If I am satisfied with their quality, your average player is no doubt pleased with the result as well.

Weird part is that you’ve got an anniversary career profile picture so I’m confused whether you bought the game recently and was using free week to play overwatch or you have never realised that the game is pretty consistent in spewing out the same number of costumes (7, until now!).

Plus blizzcon skins. And probbaly be some ow love this years blizzcon

Maybe they played back when the game actually released content. The anniversaries had the most of any other, and now he is returning like… What the heck?

It is actually a feasible explanation.

So you can feel extra sense of PRIDE AND ACCOMPLISHMENT when you get that gold drop from a loot box and its… Pirate f-ing torb.

Fair point. (20 characters)

This isn’t like Fortnite where they get their money from buying skins. Those games make their money off skins so they have to roll new ones out all the time.

They said there was going to be four and we got 5. I’m happy. Almost.

At least the quality is improving, I think I like every skin from this October.

Havent you heard that Blizzard its a small indie company?

People buy lootboxes for skins so i say that your argument is flawed

They buy loot boxes for a chance at getting a skin. Blizzard would likely make more money if they charged $2-4/skin and released a new one every week. Fortnite was making millions each month from this. Blizzard could do this and it would easily fund their entire OW team plus some.

But what is the possibility that you get the skin you want on the first try, and with tons of items its gonna be difficult to get it, so you keep buying lootboxes

Sounds like somebody is making speculative assumptions… Never played Fortnite.

Someone is spoiled by a game actively abusing their staff to release content like they do
