Based of their individual skills on Overwatch league and World cup,so why not?
probably spend more time scrimming than playing on the ladder.

They clearly just donât care as they could rank up with pretty much zero issue if they wanted to do it. Keep in mind ladder play, even top 500, is still 3 rungs below real team organized play. As you have tier 3 contenders, tier 2 contenders and then of course tier 1 being the OWL.
If one has already proven themselves to the point of reaching the OWL Iâm not sure their ladder SR maters as much as someone still trying to get noticed, to break into even basic contenders.
Itâs like asking why any random pro in some other activity doesnât play in local tournaments, they donât care.
Even some the streamers have accounts high enough in SR to be in top 500 or even top 100 but they donât bother to connect the account to a phone. I suspect some players in the OWL who play lots of ladder games do so for practice of heroes, self promotion or for streaming coin.
They have nothing to prove SR wise.

Because they donât take competitive that seriously and they flex a lot.
