Why r people so upset when asking for heal/swap/etc

Just why? Guys we all now can press a Tab and see whats wrong. When somebody ask you to swap, or heal more why do you start discusion?

People generally don’t enjoy being told what to do.
I’m personally receptive to criticisms when told to swap but sometimes even I don’t feel like swapping will help. And saying “heal more” is basically telling someone to “do better” which isn’t exactly helpful advice.

But hey, We all have TAB. We all can see what is the problem. Also heal more - when you see a Kiriko or Mercy fighting and leting whole team die? Like its allways a team based game! WTF If I m doing bad with my hero, wtf is wrong to swaping? Toxic is stuborn sitting on hero that doesnt work.

“swap to that hero u dont play!” im sure it will work out fine
also the stats dont tell u everything and the player might just want to try and figure out how to best play around or overcome that bad matchup. at the end of the day u aint going to be there for his climb and if he sacrifices his mastery for one game then the next then the next he aint gon improve at all
that being said, no use in starting a discussion over it, nor its worth spaming change or heal more if he aint going to change or cant heal cause enemy pressure/positioning or just bad(it happens, he aint gon get better in one match unless u give actionable tips like take the highground, wait for ult etc)cause at that point its u asking for an argument

Seeing there is a problem is one thing.
Knowing how to fix it is another.

Because there are multiple sides to a story.
I’ve been screamed at by people for not healing when I was actively healing them. Both me & the other support were healing them. But they lack situational awareness to realize that.
Or else they’re running into the enemy team & getting mad when we don’t follow them.

See, here’s the issue - you’re putting the blame on one person. It’s a team game, isn’t it? So why not blame the team?

Toxic is blaming one person.

Depends on what game mode, in comp I usually counterswap and what not.

In QP and arcade, i don’t care what people play there, I usually use it to test out heroes.
The only time i call someone out, is if i see a widow getting clapped constantly and is way below others. But that’s because i have raging hatred for her.

you aren’t the boss of anyone so you can’t make anyone switch, regardless of how you feel. you could always suggest to swap, but you shouldnt be mean or rude about it and begin to flame teammates because you’re not having the time you thought you would be having

I had a widow maker get into position, while everyone was dead, that got dove by a genji and monkey… dude died and started whining for heals…

i told them “i can’t heal through stupid, we were all dead too”

dude stood in spawn the rest of the match lol

Because there are just so many layers, variables and contexts to the fights in this game, that when someone tells you to swap, rather than them taking responsibility and swapping their own hero… it’s tough not to reflexively think “do they really know what they’re talking about… are they actually correctly reading the situation here, or just shifting blame to someone other than themselves?”

And I’m not saying your team mates are never wrong, but at the same time, because of all the variables, it’s tough to tell when they’re right, you know? For example, what if they ask you to swap, and you do, and then you (and hence, the rest of the team) perform worse? Is it because that person made a bad call when telling you to swap? Is it because you swapped to someone you’re worse with? Regardless, the end result is everyone suffers…

Or the opposite side of the coin, you swap… and start playing better… but now the hero you swapped to doesn’t synergize so well with the rest of your team, and they’re no longer able to play like they were, all because you listened to a seemingly well meaning team mate who told you to swap?

I could go on and on lol

Dude stop with these imaginations. As i mentiond, we all have TAB in game and this real time! Im surely wannt ask to somebody who is 10+KD in game above me for example! But when you see a Genji with negative KD, quarter of my dmg… and I ask him to swap - WHY TF IS HE STARTING EVEN ARGUING??? And also what are you saying is probably a GM+ problem… when you swap from dive hero to poke and problems are even bigger… everything below that lvl, is a different story.

Oh shoot my b, didn’t realize I was dealing with someone who is incapable of being wrong, you’re right, carry on

my answer to “heal more” is usually “well, get this sombra off me, then ill heal you more”

team heavy game where one’s performance fully depends on the others doing their job correctly in a competitive environment where players are only rewarded for winning the match. What could possibly go wrong?

I hate weekend forum posting. I don’t know which is worse, people doing babbies first trolling or people feeding them.

because that person wants to play genji? freedom of choice

Imagine hearing “dps, kill something” every few seconds. It’s gets old really quick.

This.

Some players like to boss others around when they are barely even helping in-game. It can be very annoying amd usually triggers a heated conversation.

It’s all situational, maybe you’ll get it when you’re not “New”

I just put them on mute. No point in arguing or debating them. Most people who tell you to swap, are just scapegoating, and don’t understand they probably are the weakest link.
