Why pro play balance shouldnt matter

what about random balance? like drastically change each hero every month no matter the repercussion. sort of like word of warcraft when for each expansion they change the game classes so much that they almost feel different and a class that was overtuned before becomes trash and another vice versa? (they nerf-buff classes so much its always random)

i mean if you think about it they can never realistically balance all 32 heroes so might as well balance by random so as not make the game stale and have something “new” more often

you get that OWL makes more money then overwatch lootboxes or sales?

The most important thing if Overwatch wants to be a serious pro game is to stop the constant balance changes.

Any serious competitive sports sets the rules at the beginning of a season and does not change it at least for the ongoing season.

In football we do not change the size of the goals after each round because there are too many or not enough goals for the audience to find it interesting.

If Overwatch wants to be a serious E-Sports they have to set the rules at the beginning and guarantee not to change them in the middle of an ongoing season.

The lowest I would go to would be:

3300 to 3900.

Mei reaper is a really fun brawl comp. nothing comes closer to goats’ essence.

GM/Top 500 is not feasibly attainable to the majority of the player base

They have already proved that balancing for top tiers was wrong as they balanced for GOATS which wasn’t played by the majority of the player base & ruined the game with power creep they then ruined it further by listening to DPS player talk about how they couldnt kill thing so buffed them further

Balance around the highest attainable skill level just makes sense…

Balance around the worst players would be horrible for the game.

Low skill players can’t aim… increase the damage of all weapons to balance out how often they miss…

I don’t understand why high level players are mad about the amount of damage heroes are doing…

Because dodging and aiming negate each other, so situation isn’t very different from low tiers.

Low tier players are poor at aiming, but are also poor at dodging. High tier players are good at dodging, but their aiming also improved.

Apparently I didn’t make it clear where there was sarcasm and my point. That’s on me I didn’t mean to confuse you.

If smurfs did not exist it might be feasible but balancing period is a problem no matter how or where they balance it.

If they do it, game will quickly become dull and boring for everyone, who’s favourite heroes are not among chosen.
