Probably some trend set by some streamer whose followers made popular via social media.

That would be my guess. I doubt this comes from a random [insert social media name here] user.

The vast majority of the time it’s ineptitude or dyslexia. (in the case of “Moria”)

And you know this how exactly?

Because I do have dyslexia and when I say (say, not write!) Moria instead of Moira it’s intentional…

So I would love to know how you know that this is the case!

Because there’s a game called Moria and people are more colloquially acquainted with that game than Moira the character.

My Connecticut accent has a glottal stop T, so it’s win on. Some Brits have a glottal stop too! Not sure if others can understand if I say it without the S.
