Why OW voice command list doesn't work like other games such as TF2, CS:GO?

In Valve games (e.g all Counter Strike games, Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat games…), the player presses Z, X or C key, then a list of voice commands appears and then the player needs to press the number key (1 - 9, 0 for cancel) that correspond to the voice command on the list.

With the addition of so many new voice commands in Overwatch, the current Communication wheel has very limited space to place, meanwhile the keys on the keyboard are also quite limited that I cannot bind all voice commands on them.

In Killing Floor 2, Left 4 Dead 1 + 2, they also use the Communication wheel (in L4D, there’re two buttons for two types of Communication wheel) but players can also bind some voice lines onto the keys through console, such as Special Enemy warning (e.g Tank!, Fleshpound!), interesting L4D dialogues (e.g Ellis’s buddy Keith, Coach’s one man Cheeseburger apocalypse, Francis’s “I hate…”, etc. )

Strong agree. Since so many lines are so important, it seems more frustrating to have to guess what few lines you may need before a match.

Maybe they’ll keep expanding it or add a way for us to access all of the lines later
