Look, I’m not blaming the developers necessarily, but I think the higher ups have switched priorities on them. Instead of putting fun first and making the games enjoyable and rewarding us for our continued loyalty and support, making money is being put 1st and fun a distant 2nd And while everyone can agree you need to make some money there’s a different between being fair and being greedy, and unfortunately it feels like greedy is what you’ve decided to go with!! Which is unfortunate for EVERYONE, While I understand how you feel the need to have a battle pass Instead of having what is clearly the WORST battle pass in all gaming, why can’t you have the BEST, most rewarding one? That would be a win for everyone You get rewarded from the players who would I feel be willing to spend money on a battle pass and store for that matter IF they were more fairly priced Say nothing over 10 USD and fairly rewarding us in the Battle Pass EG: currency we can use to actually BUY the NEXT Battle Pass and perhaps fairly priced sales in the store with the above price I already mentioned being the highest price!! With systems in place to make the players actually feel good about playing and even spending money knowing Activision Blizzard actually appreciates them!! I hope you all can make the right decision, hopefully by Season 3 of the battle pass if not sooner because I don’t feel moving forward I can support your games which I love if drastic changes aren’t made soon.
Thank you for your time

Being the best BP doesn’t get you the most money.
Greed is more important than the player experience.
Welcome to modern day gaming. Blizzard probably sees this title as a cash machine and not too much more. The same goes for the Diablo franchise.
The game companies but mostly the players are too blame. Gamers are so weak and addicted that they actually buy microtransactions. If this wasn’t profitable game companies wouldn’t bother doing it.
Nowadays you pay full price for a game which gives you access to 85% of the content. The other 15% is on the shop and cost 20x the price of the original game to unlock it all.
Sad really.

It IS sad, but that’s what I’m saying it doesn’t have to be that way. They can still make money AND support the players, I mean, honestly it’s a win-win if the bean counters weren’t so short-sighted. Look at the long term, not just the short term. And REALLY 150XP for winning a game and 100XP for losing oh and I forgot the 20% boost from the Battle Pass HOW generous!!

They are going to get $10 whether it is the worst, best or middle of the pack, so why improve it?
I dont blame the devs either its 110% the players fault.
Its the players that support greedy practices every time instead of voting with their wallets.
Guess what something doesnt sell it either becomes better or goes away.

They can still make great money if they were more generous to the player base of course.
The problem is you’re asking them to make less money…good luck asking a company as awful as Blizzard to make less money. No chance.
Blizzard doesn’t want great money they want ALL the money. If they have to sabotage their own projects and make the player experience worse to do that. That’s what they are going to do.

You are exactly right, but that’s what I’m saying, they can PROVE to the players AND to the community at large that they DO care and are willing to take a small hit to make the players happy and in turn make MORE money. It’s a simple concept really shrugs

I think there’s also a disconnect as well , newer and newer crops of players and gamers now who are growing up with Mobil app gaming, are so used to paying for all these things cosmetics , progression, time gated content etc. I loved my OW1 and to even see when you have a heroes now in OW2"" you don’t even receive the default color skin options anymore, its all behind that horrid practice of pay for every little thing you can.
I just remember after supporting one of their digital Blizzcon tickets and hearing all this great talk of caring about the fans and trying to make a better product for their family of fans blah blah. We now see what that meant, and were in this new phase of do they appease their die hard fans who have been with them from the start or meh shuffle them out and make more money with the new fans that will fill the gaps. Those that never experienced gaming without constantly having to buy every little thing.
I love that you said this its so painfully true,
