Why it's impossible to invite people or join a group when the group is queueing?

I’d like to put it into the bug report category, but it’s obviously intended nonsense. Why can’t you invite people or join a group when the group is queueing for a game? It only makes sense for comp / role queue … if anything …

Adding a person to your group changes your group’s MMR and thus it needs to reset the queue due to the difference. It also gives the joining person a chance to know what’s being queued for, so they don’t get roped into a game mode they don’t want to join.

I agree if it’s an open queue or most arcade games.

I guess it could remove you from the queue, but you don’t wanna be in an 11 minute queue for dps and be typing to someone and hit Y just as some random friend sends an invite and have it kick you right?

Outside of comp there’s no reason someone couldn’t join after the queue started as they can spectate.
