Why do you still lose points if you back out after a teammate quits, nobody wants to stick around when the teams are uneven.
Because you still lost the match. A system where someone could merely leave and prevent team mates from losing ranks would be highly abuseable.

So people wouldn’t abuse it. Imagine all the stacks and one teammate leaves to prevent their buddies from losing ranks? How do you not think of this???

Because, you’re just taking a knee and taking the L.
You just don’t get punished any further.
If there’s a leaver on your team, always leave when the counter is up. Take the L, don’t waste your time.
Time is more valuable than any meaningless rank badge.

did the enemy team win or lose?
winning team gains, losing team loses sr.
If you want to be spared from the sr loss, play more. it doesn’t delete skill from your body. if anything it makes it easier to win because it believes you are worse than you are.
I would be glad matches even get canceled at all. and you aren’t send in an 4v5 or 5v6 from the start.
