OW1 was never this blurry. Watching old clips of Overwatch 1 made me realize just how bad OW2 looks. The lighting makes everything super dark and characters are generally harder to distinguish. Sometimes I can’t even tell where the head starts and the torso ends.
If you want to compare it for yourself, I recommend looking at how different Hanzo’s dragons look in comparison to now. That and Nano too.
i noticed it too when i was on 1080p but i switched to a 4K display recently and now it looks like real life 
Probably just some weird post-processing added to make the game feel more cinematic or something.
Because it was all a dream.

Thats your eyes not being able to adjust to the Techno disco Overwatch turned into with all the FX effects.
I mean, even when I watch youtubers playing on maxed settings, it still has that blurry look to it. I don’t mean pixelated btw, it just looks like all the outlines and stuff just blur together.
Everything in OW1 looked really sharp and clean. The lighting was also definitely better too.

True. All the annoying visual effects like Sojourn’s Disruptor bubble don’t help either.
