its making word in social media that many people in this site are mocking happily people who just lost their jobs because of… nerd rage?
if so, why? are you really proud people are out there exposing you for making fun of people who just lost their jobs?
most if not all of the art department has been fired, and the animation department is “in crisis” has many people is being laid off as well, meaning that there may be a decrease in quality of any animated work in the future (think of the animated shorts for example)
the forums could really use a ban wave now. maybe then this forum wouldnt be spawning idiocy regarding unemployed people.
why lash out your lame nerd rage on a bunch of people that havent done anything to you? do you dwell on these forums raging about your least favorite hero, posting your lame 666th symmetra rework, or posting outdated information of stuff? why lol
From what I’ve read, and I mostly only read, it’s either people are upset, or they don’t care. There are only a few people ‘making fun of them’. And then some of us wish it would have happened sooner. That’s my camp by the way.
Because their hero got nerfed a little while ago so now fire the entire dev team so they can be replaced with other devs that will nerf their hero even more
it is unfortunate about the lay offs, cannot imagine loving a job so much only for it to be taken away. But I can’t help imagine many of them actually did anything, with the current state of the game the devs constantly ignore us. I bet most of them barely even play the game judging by how horrible the balance team and the writing just gets worse and worse. Again it is unfortunate but it gives some more chances to people who actually care about the game. With the talent they do have hopefully they find another chance.
I think people are happy about the two top execs leaving amongst the lay offs, from what I have gathered these two or one of them in particular was Bobby’s yes man. I think that’s where the confusion laid at but it’s the forums🤷♂️
Blizzard should have made a less crappy game if they wanted to make money and pay their employees. It would have also helped if there was less corporate greed. No one is laughing at the people losing their jobs, they’re laughing at the absurdity of how Blizzard could have possibly allowed this to happen.
in no universe can you rig matches and retain players. integrating ai hamster wheel automation to rig matches backfired. layoffs were self inflicted. integrating ai spy chat to discourage voice chat usage backfired into fewer logins. fewer logins = layoffs. if you obliterate social engagement combined with the fact that friends can’t stack, you accelerate your deterioration. cause and effect.
thats not even why the lay offs happened, are you mental? too stuck in your world? maybe never worked in a company?
the lay offs happened due to the microsoft merge. every merge will inevitably cause masses of people losing their jobs. i take it you can deduce why if you could come up with this whole story in your post.
First off, I agree completely that it is a travesty that these people lost thier jobs…
But also, If you look at the released content in the last 4-5 years, I’m not exactly sure what these teams have been doing. A couple of shorts and a handful of heroes? It reeks of corporate bloat.
stop guessing. its not even your guess. you’re out here regurgitating things just bc it sounds feasible. had rigging never occurred along with micro managing player interaction, they would be hiring instead of firing. if players are unhappy, foundation crumbles. satisfied gamers = job security. when you depart from reality, you depart from payroll. imagine the timeline where no rigging occurred.
