The minute some guys hears your voice “oH iS tHaT a GaMeR gIrL??¿” and it’s not even just guys, I know some girls who highers their voice whenever they’re talking to a guy. Am I just too critical and rude??? Cause it’s so weird to me.

Hell. Usually when I get a girl in my games it’s the opposite. No way says a damn thing 
Because girls who play overwatch are awesome. But also sometimes that’s guys picking fun at girls because they’re jerks.

There are weird internet guys in every corner of the online landscape but I’d say it’s actually less of a problem in OW being that our player base has a much more diverse makeup than other PvP games.
I’ve been caught saying “nice a girl” before. I’m gay and I like to play with women.
They just think they’re being funny. Usually it’s nothing more than that. Also, hearing a women’s voice in this game still takes me by surprise sometimes

I think so. Look out into the crowd at any live OW event and compare the crowd to that of just about any other game.
There are more girls/women playing OW probably than in any other FPS game so yeah, whatever happens when thirsty people hears them, that would happen more in OW.

Honestly, I encounter fellow ladies making their voice higher and squealing more often than “is that a girl!!!”. Sometimes I have to mute them because it’s really annoying.
And I keep my mic muted because my voice is naturally super high, and I don’t want to sound obnoxious myself. :v

No, there’s still a great mix of people at live events. I went to the Dallas Homestand weekend last year, which was two days of OWL matches and it was awesome to see so many different types of people, ladies included.
There is cavedwellers everywhere violet. I am sorry you have to deal with it…
We live in a society where too much people think they are more than others just because of their sexual inclinations, genre or other silly things.
I hope someday we could look to the past and see how this all passed…
