Genji hate never left, it was simply overshadowed by Brig/GOATS hate for a bit.

They reduced his deflect hitbox, but they didn’t really change him otherwise.

And it took them 2 years to fix it. That’s the most ridiculous part.

I’ll openly admit that the old Deflect hitbox was a bit much, but since they fixed it, he is fine and needs no changes whatsoever :stuck_out_tongue:

Because Jeff recently said the team believes he’s balanced and that pissed off a lot of people by destroying the fantasy of nerfing him.

Meh. He does not need a nerf. He has a lot of counters now. Before Moira, he was a REAL pain. His ult can be quite annoying, but it’s an ult.

Oh, I’m not in disagreement. I find him annoying, not broken.

I still get the sense that that’s what caused the revival of all the “Genji is not fine” threads lol.

He’s been a common discussion of hatred on the forums for a very long time, which isn’t surprising because this forum is realistically dominantly populated by support mains, whom Genji soft counters.

If we look at feedback as a whole, and not the forums, the vast majority says Genji is balanced, which is why Jeff said so.

People even say Bastion is OP here, clearly there is a lot of unfounded whining here :stuck_out_tongue:

Genji became a temporary ally while GOATS is a thing. Rest assured, he’s still going down.

the best meta rn is literally just tanks and supports yet both tanks and supports still complain so that already says a lot

I just ignore it at this point.

When Sombra was nerfed back in March 2018 everyone said she was fine, that she was just a high skill hero.

Now she became brain dead somehow.

The general consensus about whether a hero is balanced or broken is wonky. I no longer trust it. Lol.

From being on the forums for about 3-ish years i see an influx in these major topics:

D.Va Buffs were huge topic. Lots of demand.
The Mercy Revert (still going on to this day)
Genji Hate
Reaper Buffs
Brig Hate (Still going on, but not as much)
McCree Hate

Before Moira, there was Symm 2.0. She could make Genji’s life painful and short.
