It feels like it makes no sense it’s supposed to be the casual mode right so people can come and go as they please. Why penalize people for needing to leave and even when someone leaves they get immediately back filled.

The penalties are to ease players’ insecurities; to ensure that even the worst players are occasionally carried to a victory instead of their teammates continually leaving matches due to the insecure players’ terrible gameplay. It’s giving the trolls even more power, which is very likely to be completely intentional.

they dont penalize you for leaving…they penalize you for making a habit of it
habitual leaving = / = leaving cause you have obligations
i could leave a game right now with no penalty for doing so

They are penalizing average players by forcing them to carry potatoes.

Again it’s the casual mode it’s the games fault for causing and cementing those habits not the player

Because too many people were shopping for wins which dramatically reduces the quality of the game for the remaining 9 players plus the backfill player. It takes a few games before penalties even start so even leaving a game here or there to join a group of friends shouldn’t trigger a penalty.

They were, that’s why the penalty was put in place.
In the casual mode???
They still leave quite commonly in the Arcade modes, where there are no penalties, and zero stakes.
Because of games that are 100% stacked against you

Ok then why isn’t qp in the arcade section that’s a no stakes mode. All it’s doing is preparing people for the crushing restrictions of comp mode

Players complain about bad matchmaking - player continously leave games after 1-2 fight losses to the point of 3 full groups back-filling into one game, further messing up matchmaking - blizzard implements leaver penalites (and adds forced group respawn on top of it to further help metal players not get snowballed because of “bad matchmaking”).
Whats the point of having a casual mode that is barely playable due to someone leaving every 3 seconds?

no what youre claiming is that theyre 100% stacked against YOU…cause plenty of people play this game and climb just fine…
