Like i’ve never understood what the point of that is, why can’t everyone just be free to add links or pictures etc to a reply they want to make on a thread O.O
It has just always been so stupid in my eyes. Like EVERY other forum has that, so you can post pictures, videos etc. But not on here O.O
And hey! If this is soooooo important, why isn’t there some information page on how to gain a higher level. And why is it so impossible to even see your level??
Like i have to ask around to people so they can help me figure out what my level is…I’ve just never understood this, it’s so confusing.
Blizzard doesn’t trust the community. It’s not like the in-game accounts and forums accounts are linked, as that misuse of one brings punishment to the other.
Plus they don’t have the staff to moderate it all, so as the RichC fiasco demonstrated.
But meh, the forums are a whole new subset of bad.

I just think it’s stupid why the “don’t trust us” because shouldn’t this community filled with so much love etc.
It’s like jeff and his crew is blind and can’t see the toxic community as well. And the game accounts and forum accounts doesn’t have to be linked to each other just so the devs can trust us O.O like that’s stupid.
If you have a forum, then make use of it and make it so everyone can use the same stuff, because it’s not fun being here and seeing how much fun others have when i can’t even do the same things.
And if they don’t have enough staff, then why create an ow forum to begin with??
well, us levels 3’s get all expenses paid travel all over the world, free gourmet meals, and an unlimited wardrobe expense account - they cant just give everyone that, they’d go broke!
On the minus side, they put an Overwatch emblem on the hood, doors, back hatch, and roof of the company Teslas we are each given, and that seems a bit much
I think it’s mostly to prevent spam and self-promotion, since there is no cost for simply creating an account. As for why there are 3 trust levels specifically, iirc it’s because when blizzard reworked the forums they jumped to a preexisting model which had that in place.
Okay, but if they wanted a level system, why not pin some information thread about it so it would be easier to find. Because i don’t know what level i am on right now, and i don’t know how to like “level up”
Because during free weekends people make alt forum accounts and use them to troll later. In order to keep them from spamming whatever links they want, Blizzard made a requirement to post links and levels are the easiest way to control them.
