The Mei Freeze, the Junkrat antiheal, Hog getting even more self heal… And not a perk, but Hanzo firing bigger logs is ridiculous. The DPS perk is also feeling very bad.
While perks seemed generally well done at launch, right now, it feels like we’re moving away from some of the biggest improvements going from OW1 to 2, which was a lot less CC. The game was peaking before Freja and that Mei and Hog perk and now it seems more frustrating to play?
At least Push is being voted for in my matches again. Anything to avoid Numbani.
Probably because of the huge mobility creep overtime,
Regarding hanzo I’m not a fan of that change but he has the second smallest projectile size after widow lol? So he isn’t close to throwing any logs
Speaking of Hog, love how they dumpstered the hero for 10 months because of his “one-shot based” tank gimmick that requires reworking, only to make him the exact same thing but more frustrating. Lowered his weakness to stuns (breather is on a resource) and lowered the gun’s skill expression. Fantastic rework.
Well, the orisa rework totally destroys hog. They added Mauga how destroys hog. Ana is still there and in 5v5 even more powerful against hog. Zen is still there. Freja destroys hog. I could go on.
Hog isn’t any better after all the changes in the game.
Not to the same degree as pre-rework, and Im not saying hes broken. I never really disliked Hog pre-rework and unironically enjoyed him unless he was meta. Post-rework Hog just made the hero more frustrating and lowered the skill expression.
Still don’t understand why ppl call the smallest projectile in the game logs. What does that mean other projectiles are shooting? Also even after the buff, still smallest projectile. To a hero who hasn’t been doing well in a long time.
Other than widow; most hitscan is 0.04m or 0.07m. Sojourn and illari are bigger, can’t recall it any others are. So there are like 2 hitscan “projectiles” bigger than hanzo. But as far as projectile weapons as in have travel time, hanzo still has the smallest hitbox at 0.125 with Ana at 0.15 and many heroes at 0.175 and higher. Sym has massive ones for example at 0.575m.
Yeah this. This right here? Absolutely moronic decision. No hate to the Devs at all, the games in a good state. But how the hell are the justifying this? XD
Because of favour-the-shooter warping slower projectiles into hitting you in a place that you no longer are. I’ve gone to replays because I couldn’t understand how a hanzo arrow that I was sure should have missed by a mile would hit me and found that it can warp into you as it goes past way out of your hitbox.
It does feel sometimes like they’re logs because they hit you when they clearly shouldn’t from your own point of view.
So if he shoots logs, are most projectile heroes shooting trees?
But yes, with favour the shooter they still actually hit that shot. Yes the replay is making it teleport to you for the server to update that it hit, but the hitbox on their screen is still normal. People just notice that happening with hanzo since he can 1 shot, where the bigger projectiles do the same thing but often doesn’t result in the kill.
I had to come here and vent, also.
The Juno movement change may seem like a small change but it feels oppressive. It feels like the skill expression in flying changed into another weakness of Juno when you can’t even use ceiling/wall elements as a cover efficiently anymore, and escaping behind corners feel sluggish.
I came back to OW2 due to Juno and her fun playstyle and engaging movement. Now even with friends I decline an invite to play, because I don’t care to play a sluggish flying ice skater.
Replays are kinda useless in this regard. They are not accurate to what happened in the game.
Everything is approximate. Projectiles will be in different places each time you replay, entire hero positions will change slightly, even bodies fall differently every time.
