Why is the forum more fun than the game?

Not so serious question. I think we all know the answer. Were I in a match I’d be teamed with random players I’d never see again. At least on the forum, I can communicate with fellow dopamine addicts whom I encounter on a semi-regular basis.

Besides, in game, nobody uses chat anymore anyway.

Because we’re groovy.
We SLAY :nail_care:
We leave, laugh, love.
We are saviours.
We are heroes.
We are watchers.
We are over.

We… are Overwatch.

Also, on the forums, I’m not subjected to the silent judgement of others just for playing widow. Or am I?

*Silently abstains from sharing my judgment of how horrible you are for playing Widowmaker.

Absolutely! It’s because I’m here. I’m fun at parties.

You’re the blue team Widow so it’s a little more ok

Depends how I’m playing.

I’m more of a forum widow, atm.

Forum widow? so you never miss, can shoot though buildings, and don’t have scope time?

That’s amazing.

I have a question, semi-OW related. Do you have a hobby which you can attribute to playing OW? Could be unrelated, but OW was somehow the catalyst.

I’m currently studying the French Revolution, mostly because of a deficit of knowledge on the subject. I wonder where I got the idea? :spider:

I only like couple of people on this Forum and I think you two are very genuine. Rest are all fake.

I like you, cause you play Widow in FFA and try your best, i have seen your vods.

the second person on this forum who i think is genuine is thicbuddha. Dude is probably bronze but he got the mind of a Top 500.

Rest are all fake, spamming their discord in this forum so they can mass ban.

There,i said the quiet part loud. fakes all over this forum.

Anyone ever run into a forum user out in the game?

Pretty spooky experience

Yes actually. I’ve been recognized a couple of times. And I’m like “oh hi there, hello. What are you doing existing? I thought you just lived in the forums.”

All of the people/content creators I run into are the scumbags of the forum/YouTube… You never truly know a person until you see them in-game.

If someone gets me in their lobby, they are going to get a throwing Reinhardt. It’s who I am. No secrets.

Thank you! It means a lot. I don’t play OW2 as much as I used to, but I try to post a replay if I’ve had a good run.

Buddha’s 1 of my favorites, as much of a friend as a forum poster can be.

And you as well, of course.

I think I have only ran into grouping with Robowizard once or twice so far in terms of playing with forumers. Very cool person. At least very polite.

Other non forumer randoms are mostly toxic. Got reported for shouting yo mama jokes even.

So I think most of you are morally good.

Because you can actually speak your mind here without getting banned from the game

There’s more humor in this forum than the game unless you get cool people on the mic.

But I would say it just depends what mode you play.

Forum > Rank

Arcade modes > Forum

Open and Role vs Forum, depends on matchmaker rng.

Personally I have the most fun in Deathmatch and open. Mainly because less drama and I have the freedom to play how I want.

Not locked down in a counter swap hell or must play meta mentality.

Cause people play the game to insult, report, and block each other

Here you can do all that without the added difficulty of aiming or thinking

honestly? people are more unhinged here, ingame they fear getting banned for having a opinion.
