At this point, why not just return 50$ price tag and return original Overwatch which offered earneable rewards, same number of game modes, two less playable heroes, maybe keep 5v5 just to make it easier for devs. Keep in-game shop for additional monetization so Moet & Chandon can keep sipping and at least retain original public?
As someone who bought the game on OW1 release (2016) and gave a bit of his life to play and enjoy the game, I would prefer that rather than a pure cash grab with a ‘F2P’ model. Look at League - you want a skin, buy it, don’t want to buy it, you can get a shard and potentially craft it. It’s not hard to look at a successful business model and properly ascertain what makes said model successful. Options - options to buy and spend, options to earn and use, options to play.
Scrap PvE entirely, have proper balancing done by a team who can properly analyze the game’s stats since we all know, Blizzard collect tons of data in all of their games and have a way of tracking every single bit of information.

They probably lost the code to a portion of ow1 knowing blizz.
They might as well call the game underwatch for how underwhelming it is.
Because it’s the second time they scammed you, I imagine.
So they could change the monetization scheme. They added a new map and some new heroes, and a bunch of overpriced cosmetics.
In short, they lied in order to get people to buy up pointless bullsh1t while they did nothing. This is three times now that Blizzard has failed to release content people actually wanted.
They say SOOO many people wanted more PvP. No, they wanted the game that was promised, the game that was a huge BlizzCon Announcement.
What are we going to get? A fraction of what was promised that is locked behind more predatory Monetization.
I don’t know about others. But as someone that has been playing Blizzard games for decades at this point. They have absolutely killed any good will I had left for them. No knew IPs. Hell none of the people working at Blizzard had anything to do with their current IPs. It’s nothing but recycled deluded crap sold at a premium price.
But hey Bobby Coddick is getting a new boat right?

Because it has tons of new features such as: paywalled content, FOMO, battlepasses with massive gring, one less player per team, less gamemodes, axed PVE etc…
Because for Blizzard even a garbage with quality downgrade count as a “new” game
To sell cosmetics. That’s it.
They didn’t. Including they reworked entire AI system to fit for PVE in overwatch “2”. You can see all heroes spawnable as bots in custom games (except ones that fly)
They just dropped story mode to (IMO) place PVE as separated DLC content. Just see…
I do not want to seem extreme however there is probably some sort of legal precedent that is regarding such a matter - company promising something, a product, clients/payers/players are indoctrinated into the whole idea, they buy/invest into said product and it is then shown to be different and not as expected. Imagine all of the start-up MMORPGs that are represented as WoW killers and then the final product that is churned out is a stick-figure game.
Sadly, it does seem like none of this reaches Blizzard and the forums are an endless circle-jerk of hate towards a company that most of us have loved for decades and have played/bought their games only to get whacked upside our heads when the proverbial promises are kept in a half-assed manner. In the end, the community suffers.
Hoping on Microsoft providing better leadership for such projects that will provide fully-fledged out products.
We will miss the Blizzard we loved like the one that got away.

They deleted archives forever. Even the entities bots from game files. They will keep pushing garbage gamemodes as PVE like Starwatch.
I would honestly pay $60 or even $10 a month for 6v6 qp only.
Just leave it as it was on its last day and just keep it running with new skins + heroes.
Let it be the broken qp fun palace it’s meant to be. Double shields weren’t everywhere in QP.
