Why is nano so strong?

Like omg, for such an easy ultimate it simply does too much. Gives hp, resistance, extra damage. Combined with nade and the longeet cc in the game too. I am not surprised her pickrate is sky high

Because it’s 100% dependent on the person being used on it

Because sometimes Lucio catches the Nano and you totally waste it. <3

Ana is allowed to be OP because when she’s standing behind the massive hitbox of a still Orisa or Rein and holding left click in their general direction, she’s using skill. Or so I’m told.

Does Ana not have to heal anyone else except the one tank?

Never got that argument

Not so much in my experience. She pockets the tanks while a Zen, Ana or Lucio tends to the squishies.

It makes sense as this is the easiest way to squeeze maximum value out of Ana, but it’s also extremely frustrating to play against.

The amazing thing is that while she kept missing she’s somehow not dead.

Nano Boost is fine and is one of the weaker support Ults. Half the time it’s used to save someone rather then actually get some killing value.

Then it usually requires a combing of ults. Not to mention how useless it is on half the cast.

There was a patch about a year ago to try to finish addressing Mercy’s and Brigitte’s excessive power level at the time, but instead of only nerfing Mercy and Brigitte, they also simultaneously gave major buffs to Lucio and Ana’s ultimates. The big instant heal on Nano Boost came out of that.

Before the burst heal was added, Nano Boost came with the downside that Ana would generally have to “pocket heal” the Nano target immediately, since they would have already been in a position to take a lot of damage right before she used it. Now the Nano Boost handles that automatically—the target still might need healing, but any damage taken before the Nano will be negated.

Honestly, its an ultimate. Its supposed to do something to be difficult to deal with, but depends upon said target it can be a huge waste since you can still CC the nano target.

Huge potential; Huge Waste.

Just like Widowmaker.

Twilight in Ilios Lighthouse shows why Ana is actually really overpowered by design.

If you don’t harass ana with least 3 heroes constantly, she can do whatever the heck she wants and be completely safe by doing so. She risks nothing by healing from afar unlike other healers, including characters like Brigitte and Mercy. And with Ana’s kit, everything she does is ludicrously strong playmaker, be it her healing prowess, nano, grenade, sleep dart or plain dps. If you don’t build a team around countering an Ana, she can do whatever she wants, spam as much as she wants and be like the support version of widowmaker.

Ana needs a nerfbat and fast. There needs to be some kind of detriment to having such a strong kit and being able to apply it safely, other than a team full of divers.

I can’t picture the scenario you’re describing

If Ana is all alone far away can no other long range DPS or flanker attack her?

You don’t need to picture it, you can just watch Titans vs Houston in Ilios lighthouse.

This again? Ana is not OP. The Overwatch Forums queen of perfect balance just doesn’t compete with her and neither does the red haired naruto lady. Fix these two and you’ll see variety in healers. Nerf her and all you’ll get is people being as reluctant to pick healers as they are to pick tanks

Ana is most picked character in ladder for a year, most picked character in quickplay for a year and now also the most picked character in Overwatch league.

So I beg to differ, ana is pretty darn OP. Ana is a mustpick everywhere you go, be it casual or top competitive pro play.

It’s high time ana finally suffer a nerfbat that befal other heroes who were deemed too high pickrates. It’s only fair.

Why are we balancing around being petty

Muh ana aim so ana can be op
I miss season 6 ana so much man

Because otherwise there is no logic in balance if other heroes are dumpstered for having too high pickrates while others are left alone.

When you pick Ana you actually prefer to position on the high ground near a wa;; which you can use to quickly peek out of and heal your targets fast. If there is a healthpack near there even better. Anas that follow their tanks too closely are actually grossly out of position, she has no business in the frontline and is only forced there if her teammates do not understand how to remain in her los.

Who are they gonna pick instead of her? Moira who is a heal bot or Mercy who has both weaker heals and weaker utility?

That logic of not having other heroes to do the same job didn’t work when dva was nerfed.

But ana = skill, so she’s allowed to be OP and do everything and oppress every other support too. You bet moira would see more play especially into bunker if ana wasn’t actually so stupidly overpowered.
