Why is it that moira is one of the only supports after early release brigitte that can consistently beat players who are of higher skill than them?
They have better gamesense, better mechanics, better positioning and then comes a moira orb with the right click in the backline doing more damage than the role known as “DAMAGE”.
Keep in mind that this happens to 99.9% of the playerbase (EVEN IN GM GAMES).
I am not saying moira is “BROKEN” like she used to be
The point of contention is the question asked in the title
Why reward bad positioning, bad mechanics, bad plays. No hero should do that. Period.
I know early release brig was very similar to this which is why everyone complained about her to oblivion and the same thing has been happening with moira for years.
Just please make the competitive mode reward skill-based interactions.
I know no one in the replies is actually going to answer the question, even though I only asked 1 singular question so I will repeat it, Why is moira the only support that can easily 1v1 players of higher skill?
Overwatch has done supports so dirty with no skill expression.
i mean support been pretty braindead for awhile, brig/moira/bap/mercy/zen/lifeweaver…all low expression. kiri has some expression with going in and out, bailing teammates our with suzu and ult usage, ana obviously has expression with all her tools, lucio is the king of expression in the supports.
I think bap, zen and potentially lifeweaver does have some skill expression even if lower than the rest of the hero roster. But man… moira is just like the opposite of skill expression.
It’s an expression of how bad you can be while still getting rewarded. There is a reason why people hate overwatch
You should make the game fun, with skill expressions not boring with annoying abilities and hero designes

Don’t you think writing another thread about how Moira is bad for the game is unnecessary? and I assure you that if you consistently lose to Moira as DPS, Moira is not the problem

if you want the answer to your question so badly: no, Moira can’t easily 1v1 with DPS. She has one of the lowest dmg per sec in the entire game, anyone who can’t beat her really doesn’t deserve to be high in the elo lol
Great answer! unfortunately there’s evidence of literal rank 1 players losing to a gold moira consistently when the moira was the one out of position by a long shot!
I know the bronze moira players who hit gold blamed the genji in that thread because that’s what they wanted to do but the actual truth is moira was getting rewarded for bad plays.
I wonder what a coach would say about that gold moira’s positioning, surely they’re not gonna blame the genji like all the other gold forum moiras lol
If the orb touches you then, I am sorry, you’re not better positioned, or have better mechanics, or even better game sense.
Throwing orbs as Moira is like playing billiards on a big table. Knowing where you’ll go so that the orb can hit you fully. If you are THAT predictable, then well… that Moira just outplayed you.
