To be fair, he got a micro buff. It’s not necessarily their fault that people are desperate to play Mauga.

Microbuffed now the overwatch pro scene finals is nothing but Mauga mirrors. Weird how that works? Almost like they have no idea what they’re doing when balancing this game.

More than likely it had to do with nerfs to other heroes. The only buff he had in the patch they played on was 4s burn instead of 3. Which is so minor it might as well have not even existed. And that was the pro play meta taking advantage of the team aspect of cardiac overdrive making reaper pretty much unkillable during it. That isn’t what’s actually happening on ladder.

Mauga also got a buff to charge speed and a cooldown reduction on charge to 5s. Not sure if that’s affecting pro play tho.

Yes he got those buffs. But it was not in the pro play patch for the finals.
That was not in the patch they played on.

Dps gets 5m damage falloff buff: Busted, broken, nerf this, McSniper Meta wtf?
Mewooga gets a 25% buff to a cardiac efficiency: Microbuff, changes nothing.
Ranked is not 5 stack pro teams hard comming and abusing cardiac with 5 man pushes
he got cardiac reduced from 5 to 3 seconds and and got the rate buffed making it so he’s more encouraged to not shoot tanks. Not really a buff or nerf just a power shift.
After that he saw no play, and he didn’t see play because of the buffs he got (though the 1 second reduction on charge has been very impactful)
They nerfed Cardiac if you are talking about the update prior to this. He has a more obvious punish window currently which makes it easier to outplay. It does not matter, they will nerf him again if he remains meta regardless. Don’t worry about it.

His microbuff was more or less useless. One less bullet to light someone on fire? Woo…
His charge changes are eh; other parts of his kit need buffs and not the ones he got.
Dude needs allocations of buffs, or a rework
After seeing all these replies, it should be MANDATORY that the person’s rank is ALSO there on their post. So we can see whose opinions are actually valid. Not interested in hearing from silver all roles keyboard warriors. Another complete failure from this team.
So if a Master-GM says that “Mauga is fun , he’s why I play this game, he’s not braindead” then the opinion is valid? Okay then because I DO feel like Mauga is super fun to play (I’m low diamond,)
Saying that Mauga is fun to play isn’t the same as saying he’s healthy for the game.
