I mean literally. I’ve played the mode probably 60 times now and I don’t think there’s been a single match that wasn’t HEAVILY in the favor of one side.
A team being locked in or close to spawn for a whole match, a team being unable to touch the point for an entire match, a team pushing the payload the whole match basically uncontested without it stopping once, a team that locks the other team away from the point so hard they only take control of it once for like 15 seconds after ult dumping, I see it all quite frequently in Classic.
I end up leaving a lot of matches in Classic because my team won’t have gotten past 2 kills collectively for like 2 minutes.
Is there just especially bad matchmaking in Classic?
OWC is where phrases like tank ult batteries, trickling in, and ult economy came from. It was much more worse at this time than later on. You can look through fandom and see ults are literally half as cheap at July 2016 than like July 2024.
Tanks are so easy to hit compared to regular heroes that they super charge healing and dmg ults to the point that even if your team used like 2 ults, you can have them back in the next team fight and almost completely lock out the enemy team from reclaiming momentum.
The game is much more extreme in terms of high highs and low lows.
