When they announced the idea of having these new jewel tone weapon skins I imagined something more along the line of looking like the actual stones. I was expecting the skins to be glassy, green, and the weapon looking like it was sculpted from the stone itself.
The gold skins lives up to their name, they are metallic and shiny. However, Jade just feels unimpressive as it also just looks metallic and shiny, no resemblance of being a jewel whatsoever.
Like is a Diamond skin just going to be a white skin that is shiny? Same for sapphire? Ruby? Amethyst? I personally do not see much value in buying them with competitive points if they justā¦change the color of the weapon and make it shiny.
Jade doesnāt really look like a traditional jewel, itās pale opaque and milky, instead of translucent the skins they have made should be called copper because they look more like oxidised copper then any sort of gem
They laid off all the artists for being dead weight. Now theyāre running with a more efficient system where they have 3 high paid executives for every 1 skilled worker.
They put about as much effort into these āJadeā skins as they did just about everything else lately. I mean, look at the Orisa Mythic if youāre not convinced lol
Maybe Iām just too jaded on the way this game is monetised and Blizzardās practices in general and I appreciate how ātin foil hatā this may seem⦠but now that theyāre selling weapon skins I have a horrible feeling these are deliberately lame so that people wonāt equip them and buy the shiny weapon skins instead! There I said it.
Sorry but if you guys want quality from Blizzard you better start playing WoW instead lol, have you seen their new Valentines day event?! Itās pretty cool
