Why is everything for Hanzo so low effort

So you feel like a rat for taking better positioning than the enemy and being rewarded for it? Good God I would love playing against people with your line of thinking.

So, heā€™s not a problem then now considering that, without head shots, he has one of the slowest ttks among dps, right? I mean, his shots are more forgiving now, but missing is a lot more punishing now than it was before, making being accurate on a character most players missed 70-80% of their shots with that much more important.

As things stand, he either needs a pocket Mercy, or he needs to be more selective on who he shoots, especially at ranges where it basically becomes pure luck. If heā€™s still a problem to you, the point Iā€™ve made before about what they need to do to him still stands:

Rework him into a full on sniper. So faster/ stronger arrows, swap out Storm with something else like the weapon art of the Milwood Greatbow from Dark Souls 3, and remove his Lunge.

Rework him into a full on spammer/ duelist. So bigger arrows, faster ROF (potentially warranting the removal of Storm), swap out Sonic Arrow, and give him more Lunges.

As things stand, he just isnā€™t working unless youā€™re getting at least 1-2 crits in every fight, and at that point, it would probably make more sense to play Cassidy, Ashe, or Widow.

i think itā€™s okay for characters to have their niche, especially ones that are designed to do large amounts of damage from a distance with very specific counters (other snipers, dive tanks like winston and doomfist)

Facing him is rather sleep inducing/boring so i wont complain.

The Hanzo skin looks like an epic, not a legendary tbh. They just threw a mask on him and recolored his OW2 default.

IMO that Hanzo Mythic is straight up bad. The Cupid Hanzo looks much better.

But at least Hanzo is not Zarya level of bad in terms or Skins.

Iā€™ve seen every hero in this game called ā€œcheeseā€ or ā€œunfairā€. Tell me your main heroes, and I can find some way to claim them to be cheese or unfair. I guarantee it.

well youā€™re wrong because i play hanzo. as i said heā€™s my no effort hero, just like moira is my no effort support.
the reason why people cries about hanzo not being able to oneshot anymore is because now they need to really aim and track enemies, unlike before

Maybe at your rank where people walk around like zombies. When you get to higher ranks, Hanzo is difficult to play, especially now.

Hanzo requires less aim than he did before because it is easier to hit shots, they just get disproportionately way less value since they did not compensate his reduced damage-efficiency.
As far as aim goes, my lower-effort heroes have always been hitscans like Cass, Soldier, Widow, and Ashe. Point-and-click aiming is easy for me.

He is your low effort hero and you are obviously getting bad low effort results out of it. You just said early on that you donā€™t play hanzo at your rank. Why is that? Because you canā€™t aim on him? So you result to low effort spamming that isnā€™t giving you any pay off? At least not enough that you feel comfortable playing him at your skill level. That proves my point. You are one of the people that hasnā€™t hit Hanzoā€™s skill floor, nor are you trying to, so you spam thinking that is how you play the hero, get no consistent value, and learn nothing else.

Hanzo player are upset at the state of Hanzo because we actually aim. Our shots are projectile with an arching trajectory and low fire rate. I play a ton of widow, cassidy, and ana as well and the difficulty in landing your shots on them come nowhere near as close as they are for Hanzo.

You said you make no effort in learning or playing the hero, so you have no idea how the hero functions, but still think your opinion about his playstyle is valid.

Iā€™ll say it again. Play the hero. The previous version of Hanzo incentivized aiming because you got consistent kills for consistent skill. This version of Hanzo incentivizes spamming because why waste your time lining up a slow charging projectile on a squishy that wont result in a kill? Just spam your damage into their tank and hope your team can help you finish the kill off.

This is what Iā€™ve proposed many times. As it is right now, he relies too much on Storm Arrows to get value, which forces spamming as a play-style to get maximum value out of it.

My opinion, give him back one-shot and reduce his Storm Arrow count to 3. Yeah, Storm may feel useless in variety of situations with only that many, but definitely better than what we have now.

Yep, he is a sniper that is far too powerful at close range, which doesnā€™t make sense. Snipers should be powerful at range but weak up close.

Why donā€™t Hanzo mains suggest specific changes to Hanzo that arenā€™t flat buffs, that resolves the ā€œfeels bad to play againstā€ aspects of Hanzo.

Or do Hanzo mains not care that much either?

I am literally so fine with this. Hanzo right now play around storm arrow like hog plays around hook and it feels so bad. You can literally nerf storm arrow down to the ground and buff his left click and I would be happy. Would take that trade anyday.

Several Hanzo players, including myself, have asked for buffs, and also suggested reworks.

However, as far as the ā€œfeels bad to play againstā€ thing goes:

Skill Issue.

I have yet to see one that isnā€™t a flat buff overall.

Much less, a rework that resolves how frustrating it is to deal with a ranged installkill hero, that also melts Tanks, and is strong at close range.

Merely throwing up some ā€œMinor downside, with huge upside, and even more frustrating to play againstā€ patch notes, isnā€™t a good enough.
