I haven’t touched this game in a while and still people are SO angry and toxic in almost every match.
What are you even trying to prove? Can you even brag about being good at Overwatch anymore? Just calm down.

Because 90% of the player base still suck, or don’t work together in this 8 year old game.
I think a lot of players take out there stress and issues on people playing the game.
Because the way game is designed it makes it difficult to have a consistently good experience unless you’re stacking with a group of other like minded players. Six man teams are huge and games are so dependent on teammate cooperation and competence. Even having just one guy on your team who is regularly afk texting on his phone or another guy who is just trolling with Hog for a priority pass, can give you a terrible game of getting stomped. This game really should’ve been for a small hard core community but the cool graphics and unique heroes and OWL brought in a large casual base that makes most games on ladder below masters a sh*t show.
for me the problem are dps players, thetes too much of them, they acting like they are better than anyone.
Yesterday I was playin comp and was put with ppl that got a way higher rank than me.
Im high gold (coze Im playin comp when one of my friends ask to play with them so it’s not often becouze i prefer qp) and my team was fire on me becouze of my rank and enemy team was just laughing and assumeing it’s gona be a fast and eazy win.
I wasn’t fast but we win and still my team was blame me for some reason when I got gold heals as ana than secound support mercy. What the hell I do to treat me like that?
Tbf this game is pretty tilting to play at times
Don’t tell me what to do /s
They wont accept defeat.
Nobody likes to lose.
Because most of the signs and rewards in the game are based around winning consistently. Since every match ends in either a loss or a win playing OW is a zero-sum game.
Dunno
Happy new year
I haven’t noticed too much anger in-game.
Notice it everywhere in comp, because, well, it’s comp. People can’t hold a tongue nor temper there. Many comp players subject themselves and others to a lot of pressure, and that can lead to outbursts.
The forums are similar, as it’s all opinion clashing against opinion, and controversial posts get ample attention.
But actual QP has always been pretty chill for me.
Because you are not playing with casuals anymore, these are people who spent hours playing and need to take a break.
I honestly don’t mind losing a good game. It’s getting stomped that makes me want to break things.
Because forcing people to play with teammates who have an IQ of potato in a team-centric game will literally never work. It’s a game where you’re forced into a random map and random game mode with random people who will swear that the sky is the color “Duck” instead of learning from their mistakes. Game needs vote-kicking and server lists and the toxicity levels will naturally plummet.
Also you can’t expect people to be emotional and socially mature in a teen plus game lol. You can only control how you react to people. I have heard some very harsh things, some said to me, for the way I play or the heroes I pick.
Some stuff if said in real life would be considered verbal abuse or threats. So you can only control yourself, report people as needed. And try not to stir trouble.
If someone does start trouble you can choose to shoot some trouble back although that’s not healthy in many ways. This is a social game, you will get all sorts of people in your matches, and they will not always not know the best things to say or try to be respectful.
You can control if you want to be in voice comms, if you want to continue hearing what they have to say (I often mute people if they start saying bad stuff in comms or play music or don’t use push to talk), you may even hide chat logs which is nice. I find the game experience improves when you do some of these.
The avoid team mate feature may also help you filter out people that are toxic as well.
Overwatch is essentially an unfair system and people are angry because a lack of fairness (real or perceived) breeds frustration and anger. But rather than moving on to a different activity, they keep showing up with unrealistic expectations and getting angry when those expectations are dashed.
I think its because when something is new you are more opt to forgive any negative aspects of it as you are still happy learning and the novelty is still there to make you appreciate things even in the event of a lose.
When things are the same for years on end, people get bitter as the new content and new aspect positive vibes are no longer there.
Then stop playing???
Because I’m sick to play hitscanwatch, is time to nerf soldier. I barely know what the other hero skills are.
Doesn’t matter how, it’s still a defeat.
People that gets mad for being “stomped” are supposed to be people that the enemy team didn’t have trouble in killing them and didn’t care.
